I played it a bit yesterday and a lot today. I am not impressed. More than anything else, 2 is unbelievably boring. It starts with 2-3 hours of cutscenes that lead into many hours more of slow-drip tutorial, where you're introduced to the insane systems bloat of alchemy, blacksmithing, meat drying, and God knows what else, and it's all in the service of a totally linear story where you get to continually be other people's bitch, running around and doing their laundry for them instead of being a knight. If you thought it would be different this time because you're literally a knight from the start, think again. Expect to haul cabbages from wagon to store room in order to progress the main story.

The graphics looks almost identical to the first game's. There's been very little visual upgrade, although faces are certainly improved. It is not up to the graphical standards of 2025--foliage especially looks really bad, even on Ultra. The cutscenes are still very nice, and the non-cutscene sequences are still very ugly. Most sidequests are endlessly belabored for no reason; when you seek out your dog, you'll be told that he's joined up with a pack of wolves. Finally, you think, after running back and forth for hours, you've found him! But upon killing this pack of wolves, you actually find that this is some other stray dog, and yours is somewhere else. You'll have to wander around some more if you want to find him. At a party, you're instructed to find a man in yellow. There are two men in yellow. When you find the first, he's a pointlessly placed decoy. Why is he there at all? I guess to waste your time.

That's a recurring theme. You'll be dropped in an area and told to "investigate." By "investigate" they mean stumble around for a while until you stub your toe on whatever it is you're meant to find. This is not a gameplay mechanic. It's the Czech version of a walking simulator. The whole game is filled with time-wasting filler like this instead of genuine content.

The fundamental gameplay is cool. I like that armor feels like armor. I like that fencing feels like fencing. But it's still janky and weird and sometimes very hard and sometimes trivially easy. It takes a lot of time to master, but there's barely any of it, so you'll never get to practice. I think it is for nothing, though, because they haven't fixed its one major issue: your weapons feel like foam. If I stab a naked man with a sharpened longsword, he should immediately fall over and die. If I slash at his arm, it should be severed. This is necessary to make a "realistic fencing simulator with realistic armor simulation" feel REAL.

Instead, in KCD2, it takes four slashes with a giant pollaxe to kill a single wolf. Some blood comes out each time, but there's no impression of real damage being done. That's fine when you're two knights wailing on each other. The game does that well. But for unarmored combat, it badly needed something like decapitations and dynamic dismemberment to refine its gameplay and make it satisfying. It also needed horse combat. It didn't get either.

I haven't encountered any woke shit yet. But I don't need to in order to confidently say that it's just not a very good game. The mission structure above all else is complete shit. The level and quest design are awful. The writing varies but, on the whole, is pretty bad, trying way too hard to shoehorn memorable Witcher 3 or RDR2 character moments into sidequests where they do not fit. It's very linear, riddled with cutscenes, and extremely frustrating, and the main plot is just boring. There's almost no improvement at all over the first game in most areas, and I'm much less invested in the story than I was before.

I want a game about actually playing a medieval knight. Call it Knight Errant. You work in the employ of various lords and can choose to be virtuous and chivalric or foul and debauched as a mercenary. You are in a position of privilege and power and command the respect of most NPCs FROM THE START. You spend your time fighting foemen (ON HORSEBACK) and kicking ass, respecting bitches and attending courtly dances. You DO NOT need to ever haul cabbages and carrots back and forth between peasant villages. You NEVER fantasize about sodomizing your liege.

This should be what KCD is about. This is what I always thought it would be about. But it just isn't. These games are something much less interesting.

I was able to watch it for a minute, but it was already over(4 hours of content) by the time I clicked on it. I refreshed now and it's members only. I guess we will never know, but honestly, who cares what this grifter had to say?
He already said his piece, he will just be a footnote within all the content creators cancelled over dropping their masks when shilling this game.

Don't talk shit about my man Loli, he's a good reviewer with excellent taste in music.
I also wouldn't consider him part of the "anti-woke grifter"-crowd. He's a conservative, but he keeps politics out of his reviews unless necessary, and he's very even-handed about it when he does talk politics.

Regarding the game, I wasn't really looking forward to it, I didn't even know that a sequel was in the works. I have a soft spot for KCD1, just couldn't get into the combat. Maybe the fourth time will be the charm, I really would like to like it.

I can deal with a negro, I can deal with the fag shit. What I won't deal with is the main character constantly getting shat on. Good thing I can still get a lot of mileage out of my backlog.

Only 176K? This is barely any better than the numbers from 24 hours ago. Remember, Starfield got over 300K on release, and that game had a leak as well. People think Bethesda's biggest turd is worth more than this "masterpiece" Vavra gave us.
I don't feel so good, bros. It's almost like KCD is a very niche game and without the fans that the developers spat on, it will never reach the mainstream market!

Well, let's give them till the rest of the week. Maybe at some point we will reach 200K at least!

It sold a million, compared to every shit game released all of them sold for a million units and even after all the shilling campign by everyone, even the people critical of Vavra KCD 2 should at least had 400k, Remnant 2 without any shilling or public exposure got 110k players during the BG3 hype and Sons of Forest got 410k during Hogwars hype. Call of Duty even after releasing shit games after games has 500k players on steam.

In the end jews are right...the people in reality are goys and should be treated like such

This is correct, but I wasn't attempting to imply the PEASANTS were necessarily always prudish or saintly, but I still think even the peasants would still have arranged marriages just because making the next generation was critical, since getting behind on things, and being an old couple with no kids made you a dead weight on the town, and NOBODY wanted that since people felt this greater then. Doesn't mean brothels and other shit couldn't happen, or that everyone did this persay, but my point was it was of a GREATER social focus to have children and raise them. If a man could do that and still visited a brothel, sure, maybe it was frowned on if known, but if he kept his family cared for, this was otherwise tolerated, since his "duty" as a man was being done. The real element of crime was more about not raising kids / abandoning them.

Infact since many peasants were seen as psudo property under lords and kings, its sensible that they would be invested in them breeding too, just so a kings son would have another generation of peasants to lord over. So forced marriages could even be arranged BY the king / lord. "hey, heres a girl from the next town over, make babies so your son can make crops for my son in 20 years. NO, this isn't a choice, do it or ill FUCKING KILL YOU".

So you aren't wrong, they definitely had brothels, hookups, infidelity, sex out of wedlock, rapes, ect, but as far as CHILDBIRTH went, society was framed with responsibility towards it even more than now. There was no CPS back then, so it was intense social pressure since fatherless children / lack of children was a MUCH nastier issue for the time. Its one of the reasons rapes lead into forced weddings, many wrongly believe it was a "reward" for the man, when it was actually more like a "you break it, you buy it" policy. Knocked a woman up? either your life is serving her, caring for her and raising her kid now OR....we will lynch you in the worst possible ways. It was EFFECTIVELY an easy remedy to prevent bastard children with no man around to care for them, if you force a marriage under the point of a sword.

its also why the church was big, since it effectively functioned ALSO as an orphanage in many cases in situations where fatherless children did become an issue, but the biggest bullwark against it breaking down society was intense social pressure, ALSO provided by the church. Definitely didn't work 100% of the time, but worked ENOUGH to keep shit from crumbling.
