I don't know why people are surprised. Warehouse was an indie studio when they made KCD now they're AAA.

It's basically a requirement to become gay and lame once you enter the corporate mainstream.
 
This corporate code of conduct with all the usual woke leftist stances and statements has me far more worried than those shitty 4chan screenshots or some arab on twitter claiming the game is banned in Saudi Arabia... This is usually the time when the company takes a stance about how all of us are just white supremacist chuds and the game isn't for us and we shouldn't buy it
 
It's hilariously dystopian that if you want to play as game in 2025 every time you boot it up you have to click through a disclosure that says "I will be a good goy, I condemn white supremacy and love niggers and faggot buttsex."

I sort of get it why these disclaimers exist for multi-player games but why do single player RPGs need this shit?

Here's the thing the vast majority of people are not going to buy your game that is glorified porn
I wouldn't play fallout if it was literally just a bunch of large breasted women actually the people who play with those mods are weirdos
 
It's puzzling how many game companies lead by euro or anglo dev used to have respect and goodwill from the customers when they released the first game, by the time they release the sequel, they always do something tremendously stupid to lose every goodwill they built over the years. Seriously is it that hard to restrain themselves in social network instead of becoming soyjack lolcow by being defensive and confrontational? Nowadays I see these things play out so much, I simply stopped supporting any big game companies. When they get successful too fast, they inevitably become so complacent and believe they are too big to fail.

I love that the kitchen is tiny and completely useless but the kitchen floor extends into the entire living space.

It is the quintessential proof that globohomo is completely artificial and forced upon devs by a cabal. I can understand a US based developer team feeling guilty about the days when America had black slaves working on the plantation. That makes sense.
But, pray tell, why would a Czech developer care about BLM issues? Their country had nothing to do with that flavor of slave trade, especially during 15th century Bohemia. All of this is (supposedly) in the game, because of (((people))) like Larry Fink and Varva plays along, cause he is also a member of the tribe.
 
It's amusing to think this could be the first dragon's dogma 2 type disaster of 2025. I remember so many defending that game during the hype cycle and calling everyone who criticized as being some part of some mystery discord. Amazing times they were.

It's even weirder that the game takes place several hundred years before the transatlantic slave trade and you still have this random black merchant come up to you and be like

"Good day sir, would you like to hear about slavery and the oppression of my people?"

That's around the same level of realism as him trying to sell Henry Bitcoin.
 
Seeing all this drama around the KCD2 release has me glad that I just got KCD for free on epic lol. I think by the time I finally beat the first installment it will be long decided whether or not the second installment is a disappointing turn from what it was. Also getting it at a discount would be cool lol

I got KCD Royal Edition on a Steam sale in 2019, a year after its release. All DLCs, most bugs fixed, optimized better. It became one of my favorite games.
There is no need to pre-order, or buy on day 1.
 
I just want to know the context at this point. Is the gay scene like, Henry watching his friend buttfuck another man while nodding sagely, knowing he has defended the honor of homosexual intercourse in the middle ages? Or is it some hedonistic noble doing hedonistic noble shit?

I am not surprised to see them doing a little bit of kowtowing, and of course they aren't going to let you say nigger on the steam forums. It just remains to be seen how woke it is.
