Clint said Josh couldn't stand the taste of alcohol. He said it was probably through arrogance alone that he ended up becoming an alcoholic.
Josh drank like teenaged PetiteFeet would. Soda + wine cooler combo, the sweeter and fizzier it is the less you taste the alcohol. That's how most kids learn to drink, that or just forcing down beers when pre-gaming.
He just never outgrew the distaste for the alcohol despite the growing dependency on it.
Sad, really. I imagine the alcohol was 50% machismo, 50% self-medicating.

None of us know what went on inside of his head, but from the few clips that exist, we see that people texted him all of the time. His sister said that Josh refused to get a new number so they'd pester him all of the time until he eventually turned off his phone to sleep- or got so loaded that he slept through it. People were really mean to the kid. I mean, on the surface I can see it. But, I still had to empathize with him after knowing his history. He was mentally ill, but he was real. It is what it is, toobz.

That's a thing I will never let go of, why the fuck would Clint not just force a new number on the boy.
Ah well, he would've insisted that the troles would win if he had got a new number.
Poor Bog.

I don't know. My guess is the dichotomy of "I got the troles but also the fans." Also, he's dumb enough that he would have leaked his new number somehow- probably by showing off his latest Doordash order. Clint had mentioned that people were attracted to him to just shit on him. They were at an airport (picking someone up, I guess. Josh would never fly) and the story goes that some guy was talking to Josh as they exited the bathroom and Clint got close enough to hear that this guy was just talking shit, and then someone came up and asked for a photo with Josh. Obviously, this is completely up to the listener to decide just what and how it happened- but I don't doubt that either happened. Just unlikely to be in the same sequence of events. My guess is it was somewhat of an allegory.

Maybe because he would've been buh-locked if he forced that on his boy.
And maybe Cobes just didn't trust his own ability to remember a new number.

I've been re-listening to old eps of Snake Bones and got reminded of one of my favorite Cobes moments, maybe my favorite of all time. The gag gift itself is somewhat funny but had the potential to be a complete dud if he opened the package off camera or saw what was on the shirt as soon as he opened it. But something magical happened that day. The way he accidentally presents the shirt to the camera before turning it around to see what was on it is fucking hysterical. It feels like it was intentional. Plus the "haha cool" right before realizing what it was. It's so fucking good. I miss his goofy ass.

Cobra's ability to be unintentionally funny is second to none.

It's such a shame he never realized that's one of his most enduring attributes and more often than not took it as an attack... very unfortunate and sad

I love the Warlord Shirt. It's probably my favorite piece of trolling in the history of the upper-case-I Internet. You could not have scripted a funnier minute and thirty seconds if you tried.

The cuban cigar glitter bomb was another masterpiece. The Boy saying "fuck my asshole, troles" and then popping open that glitter bomb with his big stupid knife rules my sad pathetic life.

I miss him so much, doodt.

Watched The Twilight Zone tonight and the episode 'The Dummy" came on and I immediately thought of the king. Better not get sick of being a ventriloquist and get trapped inside the body of a dummy BOY
