I felt about and consumed his content in the same way. It’s going to be really fucking hard every time the next video up is a random cobra video from the algorithm, I’m not going to lie I bawled my eyes out because I was probably overly optimistic in the hopes he was still alive. After the confirmation everything just feels so fucked up. I’ve dealt with plenty of loss before but watching Josh go through something I’ve seen happen to people I knew just fucking hurts, man. I used to catch streams from his old apartment on my smart TV after work and it became kind of a ritual to just have him on as background noise almost 24/7. This all just feels so surreal.

Completely heart-breaking. No father should ever have to bury a son.

Josh Saunders was a different kind of figure on KiwiFarms.
In a world full of troons pushing DIY HRT on kids, zoophiles fucking animals, and grifters chasing every last penny, Josh never pushed his demons onto anyone who didn’t choose to be around him. His friends and the bogwitch came to him, not the other way around. Yeah, he was gross, drunk, and belligerent at times, but he owned it. His flaws were his own, and he never weaponised them against others. That’s more than can be said for 99% of this site's subjects. He was honest to himself and the people around him.

Hats off and wands up to a legend. Hope you’re shredding riffs and making strange cocktails somewhere better.
Rest in power, Toobs.

its awful, but clint enabled him, kept getting him places to live instead of rehab. i grew up with a bunch o kids like cobes, one guy i knew is 40 and goes to comicon every weekend, his rich parents rather pay for that then have him back in the gutter doing drugs. it sucks but weve all been expecting the boy to get liver issues, but not death, i hae bad teeth myself from being in the hospital for a year, it really demotivates you, and my dental wont approve any repairs.
 
It's tragic how fast he declined. Alcoholism is insidious. The human body can take a ton of abuse, until one day suddenly it can't anymore. Because he had been heavily drinking my guess is acute pancreatitis. But alcoholism can affect tons of different organs so it could be anything from liver to gallbladder to his pancreas.

I hope that his family is able to find peace and that people leave them alone. A parent should never have to be the one to find their dead child.

Fuck the sickos. You were the last of a dying breed on the Internet Josh. Thank you for the laughs you gave my friends with your crazy cooking videos.

100% this. Also Cobes was fine doing his own thing, making his wands and going on his rants. The weakness he had for alcohol didn't need to be exploited by fuckwits online. Alcohol home delivery itself is incredibly insidious, I've seen the effect it's had on friends since it way expanded in the pandemic.

Cobes may not have been the apex of human achievment, and many of his problems were of his own making, but it doesn't mean he didn't have a right to exist or not be maliciously pushed into self-destruction like he was recently. Like I said, I couldn't stand watching the trailer streams, he wasn't himself anymore, and the amount of booze he was getting was unreal. Absolute evil.
 
I have so much work to do today and can’t keep up with this thread, but I am definitely going to come back later with a drink combo and read through all the highlights. Cobra posters always had the best art and the best takes.

We all knew it was bound to happen at some point, especially with his health being so bad, but I don’t think anyone thought it would be this soon after Ozzy’s death.

I didn’t follow his thread, but the few videos I watched on Josh, he seemed like your regular funny, dorky, and sometimes a bit clueless kind of goth dude. Depression and alcohol are fucking evil, man. Kills way too many people.

Hope he’s having the best time at the great big gig in the sky, rocking out with Ozzy.

Maybe people on Reddit who believe themselves morally superior while sending Josh alcohol might have a word with their conscience.
