I did a very Josh thing last night and tried to speed up the 'de-thaw" of the shrimp by putting the ring in cold water after opening it and ensuring the plastic covering them was in place. Well, it was held in place mostly by ice crystals and just draped over them. So I ended up having to eat nearly 50 medium sized shrimp last night because they weren't going to do very well in the fridge, already thawed (er, de-thawed) and soaking up water in the sink.
Surprisingly, I haven't yet shit myself this morning, but I'm expecting that at any time.
