This began with being profiled in the book Deviant Desires: Incredibly Strange Sex which was published in 1999. I'm not able to find the full text of this book so unfortunately I cannot tell you about Galen's section in it but the gist of it is the author spoke to a wide cast of sexual deviants about what makes them tic and then compiled these interviews and experiences into this book. Naturally, Galen talked about fucking stuffed animals.

The closest I could find is a review of it in a scientific journal that really doesn't go in depth about it. I cracked up at this part though:

This book also addresses the inherent prejudice of the concept of "normal" sexuality: "(T]he medical definition of normalcy seems to reflect the cultural biases of the moment [specifically,] heterosexual without complexities" (pp. 8-9). Unfortunately, many historical sexological studies only described criminal or dangerous paraphilic cases; this has served to strengthen the general cultural prejudice that people who experience unusual sexual fantasies are somehow automatically impaired in their ability to negotiate the difference between fantasy and reality ...[which implies] the sexual imagination-more than the religious one, for example-has the ability to take over our lives [and] threaten our relationships and jobs ... [that is,] sex shuts down our capacity to make intelligent decisions (p. 9).
Such cultural anti-sexuality leads to an even more outrageous assumption : "[O]nce you have a non-conformist sexual thought, the next thing you know you'll be molesting children" (p. 9). The faulty logic of such
prejudice unfortunately guides much of today's cultural sexual standards . This book strongly opposes such conventional erotic constriction by demonstrating the laudable sexual ethics that guide most non-conformist erotic practices. This is ably accomplished through careful descriptions of the fetishistic practices
and in-depth interviews with leading practitioners who very openly discuss ethical, social, legal, and practical details.
Now to tum to some criticisms. Although the author explains her use of the term deviant (p. 8), referring to these fetishes as deviant sounds pejorative and is quite distracting from the ethical and social focuses of the book. Such terms as variant or nonconventional would certainly be less jarring.

Sounds like she would just talk about the "laudable sexual ethics" of humping piss-soaked stuffed animals and fucking dogs.

That aside, the OP is pretty much done and the only thing to really do here is maintenance and upkeep on what Galen is up to, which isn't much all things considered. Any objections/thoughts? If not I'll post this in the PG review thread.

Paraphilias tend to cluster. It's why so many autogynephiles/transwomen are also pedophiles who like BDSM.
They also tend to escalate. Fetishists are turned on by violating taboos, so once they violate one taboo, they need to start violating others to get the same rush. They don't operate like normal sexual desires, they operate like addictions. Eventually it gets so bad that it leads to the horrors contained in this thread.

This train of thought absolutely applies to Galen. For a good long while he seemed content with plushophilia and urophilia but if you read his 2020 FurAffinity journal where he "comes out" as a scat lover he says that this is something that he's been thinking about for quite some time. Obviously he wasn't getting the same rush/high and he took it another step higher.

@SpongeBoiMeBob contacted me privately with an account on plush.yiff.ru he'd made quite some time ago for the purposes of doing some digging into the website, which is what I was trying to do but it seems registration is closed. He shared the account with me and I was able to get in. (Thank you!)

I was correct, Galen does have an account there ("FoxWolfie") but it appears that he's not very active. The website is designed like utter shit with picture uploads, file uploads, and messages all just dumped onto one page without any way to effectively search through what's there. This iteration of the website has been online since 2004 so it's a little ahead of Galen's more active stint online. According to his profile he has over 1,000 posts on the website but I wasn't able to find much. No new pictures we hadn't seen, nothing gross or eye-opening on the forum section, etc. I checked for Galen's friend Vortex Kangaroo to see if perhaps he'd posted pictures that included Galen in them but it seems Vortex's account, if he had one, has been deleted. A solid 85% of all posts/uploads on the site are attributed to an "Author Deleted" dummy profile.

Dodged a bullet there. Galen has pictures of a room party he went to at Anthrocon 1997. Two people in attendance dressed up in hokey werewolf halloween costumes and jerked each other off. Thrilling stuff.

Though Galen at conventions reminds me of a Reddit post I found while researching for this thread. In a post to /r/furry where older furs reminisced about their memories of a bygone era someone mentioned Galen by name and said he remembers his convention roommate meeting up with Galen to buy a car load of plushies. I... can't imagine any of them were clean. Just disgusting.

foxmajik is oldschool furry , they were on places like furryMUCK and usenet.
some of the communities were dial. in BBS and are totally lost to history

I remember hearing about this guy from anti-furry websites back in the day and thinking plushophilia was the most degenerate thing. Turns out it was just the tip of the iceberg for this guy that normie journalists 25 years ago singled out as the loudest pervert they could find at a convention.
