That artwork is so horrid, especially that diva one. I can't believe this guy got hired to do anything in the profession he worked in.

It was the 90s. Rob Liefeld was one of the biggest names in comics. That explains a lot of how Penders got a career.

He never learned to adapt to the times from what I see. A bunch of those drawings looked highly dated to me and I couldn't even tell that they were done last year either.

I saw that cover on Superdickery years ago. I didn't know until just now that Ken Penders was responsible for it.

I remember seeing that when I used to religiously play the Sonic Collection thing on the GC. Even when I was 12 (or whatever) that shit freaked me out. Then I would play Sonic 3 again and quit because there was a water level.

I think the Maurice joke came from either SATAM or Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and Penders took some liberties with it.

The whole point of the name is that it's the least "cool" name that exists which of course Penders didn't realize that it was only supposed to be a joke.

I've been following Penders' actions for a while now. I haven't really been following Sonic for years, and I never really read the comics, but the quality of his art, his gigantic ego, and his attempt at using a character he does not own the rights to have made him hard for me to ignore.
