Imagine being so anal about your ancestors being enslaved that your race collectively still holds a grudge hundreds of years later against people who literally have nothing to do with what centuries-dead corpses did and demanding so much free shit for stupid shit they do in the present day.

Like a holiday named by some retard fifteen year old or something.

Because it's not about the abolition of slavery, otherwise it'd be on the day of Lincoln's emancipation. It's just going to be used to hammer home the retarded "collective white guilt" narrative and, ultimately, "reparations", which is pretty much a guarantee at this point.

Nobody involved was enslaved and no one involved enslaved people. If its visceral and emotional for you its because you are mentally ill or manipulative.

Well that's why there's shit like Bastille Day. Freedom is worth celebrating and it's kind of fucked up you're so fragile you're taking this as some kind of attack.
 
I doubt too many people are actually against recognizing the abolition of slavery. Gonna say the wonky name and the date are probably what are causing most of the mockery/etc. I suppose this represents emancipation in Texas, but it doesn't seem widely recognized anywhere else and the US is a country of 50 states. September 22nd would probably be the most logical date. Regardless, yeah, I agree it's not a huge fucking deal either way. If this represents the kinds of things Biden is doing, it doesn't seem like his mandate, political capital is as strong as people portray it.
