Out of state tuition is expensive (not sure why?) When I was in college, I had a suitemate from Maryland. She was a really great girl and very nice, but she had to move back to MD after one semester because tuition and dorms was too much for her. Given Josh and Michelle's lack of jobs, and their overall retardedness, I can't imagine they would qualify for a scholarship. What are they going to put down for extracurricular activities on the college application? I recall him (or her) saying that they had nothing to do all day but make pregnancy fart vore videos.

I don't know about U.S out of state tuition, because I'm a Britfag, but I don't think you could afford it with Autismbux.

Because state colleges are partially funded by tax revenues from within the state. It's assumed that residents and/or their parents are already paying into the system via sales, property, and (in some cases) income taxes, so they get a lower tuition cost. Or at least, that's the standard line.

Some states have reciprocity agreements--where they limit the extra cost to residents of the other state--but in general, that's not the case.
