MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Monongalia County man who discussed openly why he was a pedophile in a YouTube video will spend the next 4 to 12 years in prison.
Jonathan Carroll, 41, was sentenced Monday following his April guilty pleas to three counts of solicitation of a minor and one count of possession of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Carroll was identified as the man in a YouTube video titled, “10 reasons Why I’m a Pedophile.” The video shows Carroll driving around what appears to be downtown Morgantown and listing the 10 reasons.
Carroll was arrested in November of 2015 as part of an ongoing State Police investigation.
