Scarlett Johansson is in this movie, but not in the trailer and I find that odd.

I'm guessing she gets killed off in the prologue.

You know, it’s a very little thing, but the fact that the Jewish girl says Jojo isn’t a Nazi, just a little kid wanting to dress up and belong, is what really convinced me thill be worth watching.
Really? Huh. That line was exactly where it lost me. Sounded very "woke 12-year-old", which I just fucking hate.
...if the twist at the end is that the Jewish girl in the attic is also imaginary...

oh helll yeah this has the chance to top Starship Troopers for best satire.
Hmm, I hadn't thought of it from that angle... maybe, then. 🤔

Had she been saying it condescendingly, sure. But it seemed more during a time when Jojo started to blame himself for everything because he was a Nazi, hence the “I’m the antagonist...” line right before it. And she was consoling him. A “woke” would just call him a Nazi and be done with it.

Rewatched the trailer and yeah, I knee-jerked on that one. Far more optimistic about the film now.
