That's why I think korea is like that too. In the West prison work detail is a privilege for good behavior so they loosen the reins a bit and guys can talk to one another.

In asia work is the punishment and they don't allow fraternizing. I watched a documentary about two french guys in jap prison, and because of the social isolation/imposed silence the prisoners were so starved for interaction they just talked about newspaper headlines and stuff when the 20 minute socializing period rolled around everyday.

I think because they are more collective/social societies, part of the punishment in asia is not being able to interact. I honestly think somali is a coward and a bitch and won't chimp out in prison.

Well, yes and no imho. Yes he didn't get the full possible punishement of 3 years which should have happened. but at the same time he will be out of any Social Media algorithm during this "enforced hiatus" Which means whatever space he had in the algorithm is gone. When he comes out and starts doing stupid shit again it will probably only the detractors watching. Also, the registry as a sex offender will follow him for some time.
