Could be the kids don't live there, were just visiting? But you can't prevent sex offenders from living anywhere near any kids because they are everywhere. It's why people put up warnings in communities when a sex offender lives in the area, at least people can be aware.

There are laws against offenders living near schools, parks, etc... places where kids congregate.

There was some major issue in Florida with how restrictive their laws about sex offenders were that basically caused it to be illegal for offenders to in certain cities live anywhere but under a bridge and a few hovels - it was crazy. I don't know if things have changed much or not.

I thought where Bulla previously lived was one of those weird, few places that offenders could live. I'm thinking where ever he is living now isn't much better. It's one of the reasons I'm taking the accusations of his neighbor with a grain of salt - Bulla lives in fucked up places full of other crazy hobo people living on tugboats.
 
On one hand, John has been able to never do anything close to this stupid for about 20 years now. I don't think he generally has the balls to go out and threaten a family with his knife necklace (which I'm sure he was wearing). But... this is the worst I've ever seen the guy, by far, judging by his messages. Even when John has said some crazy shit in the past, it has always been with decent spelling and at least understandable structure. We know he's not on his meds as well, but he's been off them in the past and only gotten so bad without a catalyst. In other cases of his escalation, it was directly the result of trolls really fucking with him, I think, and him being gullible enough and arrogant enough to want to believe anything. Maybe it's the intense isolation that has truly made him start believing a lot of the crazy shit?

For an example, I'm pretty sure he's convinced that when he has those pictures of naked women and some of them over his body, there's a large part that thinks he's really having sex with them, and another part of him that knows he's not, and that kind of dichotomy is what's fucking up that brain of his. Then again, i'm not a mental health expert and I've never met the man, just watched his crazy antics from afar.
 
We've seen from @brainbleachneeded's interactions with John that he's been deteriorating, seemingly having less control containing his anger, and lashing out more.

I have no doubt that John could have been arguing with his neighbour and then was ~triggered~ into a complete rage/panic as soon as the neighbour mentioned calling the police, due to his hatred and fear of them.

ESPECIALLY because of his recent run-ins with LE, and the threat that action would be taken in the future if he filed any more false reports.
 
The dude anally raped a 15 year old in his 30s, why are we pretending he's incapable of horrible things? That's not something you grow out of. I understand that schizophrenics in general are more likely to be victims of crimes than perps, but John Bulla is not one of those schizophrenics. He's picked up by police for doing disturbing and aggressive stuff a lot.

We've seen the way he talks to Brainbleach in texts, he's a VERY aggressive man. He lashes out in anger and threatens to kill all the goddamn time. Threatening to kill a cat because someone hasn't text you back is on the same level of crazy as threatening to kill someone for calling the cops on you, imo. That's not even mentioning the times he's threatened to kill Von Wolf Demon. The neighbours story sounds completely correct to me.

He refuses meds and calls his female worker nasty names. I seriously think he is getting worse.

If you consider this information is coming directly from Bulla, he's an unreliable narrator, the reality is probably more unfavourable to him. He admits to "starting a scene" on the bus, whatever that means. You don't get the police called on you, and make everyone around you horrifically uncomfortable if you're not being aggressive/violent.

I don't think the police are trying to fuck Bulla over by exaggerating, I think Bulla is a mentally unwell man who does unpredictable things due to his severe delusions. Delusions caused by the fact he's admittedly not been taking his meds.

He was wearing a necklace with bladed objects on it, I don't see how "knife necklace" is misleading. Reposting these pics from Tuesday that Brainbleach posted, you can see he keeps several knives by the front door and it wouldnt surprise me at all to hear they're kept there so he can wield them every time he goes outside. He also keeps a piece of wood with nails hammered into it as a weapon.

EDIT: its a blurry pic but I think the specific knife mentioned in the news article is pictured (the rightmost knife in the left pic) - it kinda looks like it has a purple carabiner on it, along with something else attached to it.
Inside the home, deputies allegedly found a handmade knife necklace, a hammer and a kitchen knife on a carabiner with a box cutter attached.

Strong agree. I don't know why so many people think Bulla is this harmless, misunderstood person. He's a severely schizophrenic child rapist. The guy walks around with necklaces full of pictures of his "girlfriend" of the week, and has sewn his eyeglasses together. Hell, his mugshot screams "mentally unwell, stay away".

The guy is very dangerous and cannot be handled with kid gloves.
 
To be completely fair, he lives in one of the more sketchy neighborhoods in Pensacola, but damn. Imagine keeping your head down, minding your own business, and having Bulla move in next door, especially when you have kids. There's a certain risk level you've gotta accept living in that area, but the Church of Sexually Beautiful Women and Fucks taking up residence next door is not the threat you thought you signed up for. A moment of silence for those poor neighbors.

Not surprisingly the cops didn’t think the SWAT team was needed to take out a shirtless crazy old man with duct tape glasses, wearing a bungee cord necklace made of carbines, dollar store pocket knives and photos of naked women.

The cops could have just waited outside for 20 minutes and Bulla would totally forgotten anything had happened. They could have cuffed him as wandered out of his house to check his mailbox for Playboy Magazine.

I do find it hilarious that after all the various necklaces we’ve seen him wearing that when he got scared he ran home to put on a knife necklace. Lol. It’s a shame we don’t have a photo of this necklace of mass destruction

The only reason Bulla is at this point alive is because the local police were already so familiar with him and his deteriorating behavior that they likely made the gamble that he was not an imminent danger and that they could wait him out. Believe me, EVERY Cop in that stationhouse knows exactly who he is, and probably has stories. But is is still appalling just how long this could go on and how much it had to escalate before the Cops were able to take action. he was wandering the neighborhood naked... a registered sex offender! he was wandering around with knives in each hand wearing a nacklace of knives. There is a point where it is no longer about sympathy for the poor off his meds schizophrenic. Personally I think that point is somewhere around the time he actually rapes a child, let alone starts pulling knives on people.

And let me tell you from years of experience in the field. There is an oft repeated myth "Schizophrenics are only a danger to themselves". Yeah, no! For most this is probably the case. Schizophrenics do not mean any harm. But what goes on in their heads can be so detached from reality that once a full on psychotic episode hits you can't predict what will happen next. They are lost in a confused screaming world of their own, and some can and do lash out in a perception of self defense against the demons plaguing them. This lashing out often impacts Family Members, Cops, EMS, ER and Psych personnel. I don't have the words to describe what walking in on someone like Bulla in full meltdown can be like. But rest assured at no point do you feel "safe" until a healthy dose of Haldol is onboard. And yes I know it isn't their fault. They aren't criminals. But they can be wildly unpredictable, lash out in unexpected ways, and posess an almost inhuman strength when they are in the throws of a full on episode.
 
I am not sure if she is his legal guardian or not. She is always called whenever he gets into hot water with the cops, Drs, landlords, etc so that likely is the case.

In my opinion I felt it was a matter of time before he was led away in either a straight jacket or hand cuffs.
He was even worse after he got taken in after his Drs appointment and whatever they gave him as a shot he had a bad reaction to with slurred and almost drunk speech, thoughts going every direction and just so rude, disrespectful and verbally abusive.
The day before his arrest I didn't text back immediately because I was busy so he called and that was the only time I felt actual fear thinking if I was there in person it could have turned violent and not ended pretty. He yelled so loud and deep in a way I never heard before and was cruel and nasty and it was only over a text!!
I just hope he gets offered some professional help and not just be left sitting in a cell alone.

Clearly the real criminal is the same demon clone he met at Pizza Hut that raped his step daughter. When will we start fixing the greatest epidemic this nation is facing: felonius demon clones (is it me or is that a really cool potential band name?)
 
I can't pity Bulla like I pitied Terry Davis, that's because of his violent criminal background. But here's hoping that him being incarcerated stops him from offing himself or someone else first. Having a legal guardian normally goes in tandem with having a community treatment order (CTO) or whatever the American equivalent is, so it's a shock to me that he wasn't being forced treatment, especially if he has a criminal record. In this country, most people like him are forced monthly extended-release shots of Haldol, Risperidone or Invega, etc, since the state knows it's for their benefit and they wouldn't willingly comply with treatment anyways.
Just a shit show all-round, isn't it?
