I stumbled upon this movie while finding ways to get rid of roaches in my new apartment. I throughly enjoyed it's unabashed stupidity and cheesiness in the best way possible, and the CGI is great for its time.

Apparently Joe's Apartment were a collection of MTV clips that turned into a feature length film. Found out critics hated it when the flick came to theaters, but I think its a cult classic in the making. You guys be the judge though.

Here's the full movie. Here's a clip of it.

Oh hell no! I remember this movie when I was a child. Didn't see it in theaters but watched it repeatedly after recording it off PPV when it was released. As you mentioned it was a cute movie. In a way it shows what MTV was like in the 90's with the alternative rock and surreal satire.

I was kind of shocked the movie got a 19% on Rotten Movies, and a 5.0 on imbd. Considering the movie's origins, you'd think people wouldn't pan the movie for 'being juvenile'

Right. It's one of those movies the older generation watched and relished; not critics. Compared to Beavis and Butt-Head Do America Joe's Apartment pales in comparison. However, it still a charming movie. One of those it's so bad it's good type of movies before they became all the rage online.

First, I want to thank you for making me feel old with the way that you talk about this movie like you found a charming relic of the past.

Yeah, those old shorts were something else and I'm really impressed that they made a movie that could have been a lot worse out of it. It was a different time, back when Hollywood would take risks with movies and before MTV stopped playing music and only played reality TV.

I remember watching this, I think I rented it from Blockbuster, because I liked the main actor in it from Sliders. At least the first couple of seasons of Sliders, before Jonathan Rhys-Davies left.

It was definitely both funny and weird. At least to teenage me.

This is, sincerely, my favorite movie of all time. When I was little, I taped it off the TV, and I usually watch it once a year. It was fucking universally panned by all critics when it came out too

I liked the shorts and saw the movie before it was officially out, buddy worked at a theater and I caught a test run the day before open.
It's a fun little dumb thing

I saw this movie once over 20 years ago.

That intro/ending song is still stuck in my head.
