Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

It's not about gas prices, it's about military contracts with defense companies.

Defense Companies get huge money for military contracts (weapons, explosives, personnel, etc) - like billions worth. Part of which is kicked back to the politicians so they have an investment to keep it all going. Every single defense contract (of which there are hundreds) is worth several billion dollars.

One of the reasons that Trump was so reviled was because he actually pursued peace as a head of state.

The methamphetamine counteracts the effects of the opioids in his system, but because of the stimulating effects, you can easily administer a lethal dose to yourself without knowing. He probably 'couldn't breathe' because the effects of the meth were wearing off and the massive amounts of opioids in his system were causing him to not be able to breath properly.

But yeah, if you look at the coroner's report, Floyd had 11 ug/dL of fent in his blood, which is higher than in 70% of all recorded fatal fentanyl overdoses, BUT he only had 5ug/dL of norfentanyl, the metabolite. Usually you would have a lot more of the metabolite than the drug in your blood, like 20x more, which means he just ingested it. Him complaining about not being able to breathe when he was still in his own vehicle and refusing to get out was because he knew that he just swallowed a fatal amount of drugs and he wanted them to call an ambulance to give him some narcan and turn fatal into literally nothing. Turns out that it takes longer than normal to get an EMT out when it's Memorial Day and there's a global pandemic going on.

Good points on both. And if memory serves, Saint Floyd also pulled this exact same stunt before (swallowed a bunch of drugs to avoid possession charges, got fucked up, sent to the hospital), the only difference being that it worked that time and not this time. He figured he could cheat death again, but he played stupid games and won stupid prizes. Maybe he really was turning his life around, but I don't think most people who are working to improve their lots in life are smoking meth and gulping down fentanyl.

It's happened so many times at this point that my first instinct upon hearing about another good boy who dindu nuffin getting cut down by the cops is to wonder what bad shit they'd gotten up to this time. Invariably, I'm proven right for being skeptical. Every single one of these martyrs actually did fuck up and get into trouble, frequently provoking their own death in the process. Has there been a single case in recent memory where it really was an innocent black man who really did nothing wrong? For the life of me, I can't think of any.

I know this is getting way off topic in the Joe Biden thread, but in my defense, I'm just pretending to be Joe and forgetting where I am.

The fact that pretty much every bill gets approved amongst party lines is just a sign that utopia is coming sooner rather than later since Democrats can pass pretty much anything without getting GOP support.
