There's a difference between receptionist and administration. Receptionists sit in the main lobby and are the first face you meet when visiting the office that's why they must dress appropriately. Yes, sometimes it can overlap but when you work corporate (like me) they make you admin of a different department. Last job I had we were on a different floor in the building not interacting with customers.
