Not sure if folks are interested in the Video Game History Foundation (the organization Jirard donated the Wii U and 3DS to), but a long while back when the Open Hand scandal was still fresh, someone sent me a zip file that contains the downloads of all of VGHF's discord server. I looked into the logs on and off for a while to see if I could find anything, but so far I came up diddly squat. If folks want to take a crack at it, they are more than happy to.

some takeaways via the reddit:
Just to let anyone know there is nothing in this 7 minute clip that is new.

  • Karl says nameless someone tipped him off to the public taxes looking fishy
  • Karl brings in Muta because Karl doesn't think a video just by him will make enough of an impact
  • Muta confirms the tax filings don't look right
  • Muta pushed to get a call with Jirard (two days before video drops)
  • Karl asserts that Jirard didn't know what info they had (was afraid they knew about much more: golf tournament money and other stuff done by the Khalil's).

So after all of this the interview gives some new information mostly regarding Jacque (not Jirard). The only real detail on the completionist is that the whistleblower was specifically looking at the taxes but you never really do find out why. I would assume because there was no yearly announcement/receipt from Jirard, TOVG, or OHF that the money was donated. All and all here are the cliff notes and give the interview a listen if you are interested in Karl as a whole and not just for the OHF stuff.

IIRC even in his breath of the wild review, he admitted that he needed help with the game due to the koroks which, years later, the dev team admitted that they made 900 of them with the completion reward being much lower than it should for the sole reason of "we don't expect people to get all of them". The seeds are used to upgrade weapon inventory slots and each of the three slots start at 1 and increase by a number every time you upgrade. You need about 441 seeds (so that's 441 koroks) andthe final thing you get for 900 is a literal piece of crap.

As for these claims for cheating, this is genuinely a first. I know sometimes he'd change and bend rules like Persona 5's scenario of getting multiple endings based on the chocolate you get from who you dated in your playthrough. But full on hacking like that is a genuine eye brow raiser of a claim.

I've only seen a few. I know he did it for Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, which has over double the amount of content the original on Wii U had since it's a combination of that and the 3ds version. That's the only one I've seen too.
 
Things have been a tad quiet with Jerard, with no doubt a lot of incentives from his family and lawyer. He is only really showing his face when its to be surrounded by his bootlickers who wont bring up the situation at all. He really doesnt want to discuss it not even to defend himself much.

It all just reeks of legal advice telling him to not bring up the subject up and if it is, to keep it extremely brief. I can imagine the family is preparing himself for any possible legal trouble in the future as this clearly goes beyond just Jirard's shit being a fraud but it goes family wide at this point.

Oh well, this whole situation really makes you see the Greg situation in a whole new light. It was always clear there was more to it than both sides were letting on but this shitshow really implies Greg saw who Jirard really was and knew he was a timebomb of which he wanted to be as humanly far away as possible to the point he wanted his face and name gone from anything associated with him and his channel. Last thing he needed was to be caught in the controversity blast radius. He probably agreed to keep his mouth shut about everything under the condition Jirard removes all videos with him in it.

 
His view counts are getting lower, even with him no longer doing the beard thing for his thumbnail art.
Alex and Bret really have distanced themselves from him, they won't even mention anything about him in their let's plays.
On a legal front, yeah, looks like nothing is really gonna happen to him...
Guess he might avoid any legal trouble, but I doubt the channel's gonna survive for much longer at this rate.

Numbers have gone down a bit but that was always going to happen.

And yeah most have moved on. They’ll be a few comments every now and then.

But like most drama on the internet be it big or small, serious or not if you just ignore it and act lile nothing is happening it died very, very quickly.

The best defence to drama is more oftan than not to just ignore.

But other than that people have stopped digging since there started being diminishing returns. It doesn't help that the jannies of /r/thecompletionist2 subreddit are kind of self important retards and then the userbase just want to consoom without doing any of the work. Jirard left the Super Beard Bros discord because people on the subreddit noticed that he was in there, they also took down the TOVG copyright off of the Super Beard Bros merch store because the people on the subreddit complained.

Jirard is planning on changing all the tiers for his Patreon. Since he no longer has a stable of trannies to edit his slop he's had to resort to pumping out really low effort videos and it's tanking his views. Each video gets a smaller amount of views than the last. His mods are jannying all the comments talking about the charity scam and calling him out.

The PBD West Golf Tournament is continuing this year, they ended up actually posting the tiers but I don't think that it had the prices up. The next update to this drama, barring any extra colossal fuck ups from Jirard will be when the next income statement from The Open Hand Foundation is posted.

Jacque isn't going to sue Karl and Mutahar, I'm sure he wants revenge but he'd have to be an idiot. Almost everyone has silently agreed that Jirard and the Khalil Crime Family are scammers. Nobody is defending them anymore, they just don't talk about him. Even Moony the Brony Lawyer took his video down and came to /r/TheCompletionist2 subreddit to self flagellate.

Pretty much. I'm still hoping this one will be special since tax evasion can come into the equation. The IRS doing a proper exploration and finding out that there were multiple nonos would make this go from "and the fat fuck got away" to "oh wow, Jirard is going to the slammer unless he pays a savage bail" in a few months.
