Game Grumps suffers the same plateau issue, but does not constantly go up and down. If it wasn't always happening, I wouldn't even post.

GameGrumps here have an abysmal views to subs ratio, so I don't know if they are the best specimen. Most of their views come from backlog of videos. Not from new videos, which hinders subscriber growth. People seem to rather unsubscribe when they see a new video in their subscriptions (a problem with many legacy channels) so it isn't comparable.

Jirard being a puppeteer to his own fans while not knowing how money or charity works is both depressing and hilarious at the same time. Even after attempting to make promises on donating, it just keeps getting worse the more these exposé videos keep coming out on him failing to deliver in the first place.

The games are actually downloaded on physical media (most of it on SD-cards and external harddrives) so someone with the software (and maybe know-how) could theoretically make digital copies of those games
Can't he?
Either way, my prediction what will happen to Jirard (and his family)
They all have to pay, if not go to jail
They drive each other under the bus, claiming they didn't know about any of this, and thought everything was fine, or such

Yes, but the museum that was supposed to receive the games stated that unless they want the ire of Nintendo lawyers, they need to find a better solution than essentially piracy.

Family dynamics in Arab families, Christian or not, are very different from family dynamics in American families.
Like… Telling his dad to F off would affect not just his immediate family, but also his extended family. Including back in Lebanon. And the whole community where he lives.

He could, but he won't, because he's anti-piracy and anti-emulation. His "every game ever list" is also missing games never released digitally, games that were removed from the eShop since and region exclusives.
Even if he would, both 3DS and WiiU libraries are already fully preserved I believe, so the entire thing was a performative act for backpats at best.

The largest new clue we have is the Discord clip in the Mutahar video.
Jirard had a fight about the money with his family. He emotionally gave that statement before he had any time to craft a statement with a lawyer.
Given the shady former business dealings his dad had, my guess is the family did something with the money and he is left to hold the bag.

Seeing how she was a nutcase that left with half a million to fuck around before she was diagnosed, I'd say she would be very damn proud actually.
Well, that's how this drama usually works. But again, what makes this one fun is that it can come back from it's ashes like the retarded Phoenix and the form of an IRS audit that ends up finding shit.
That's the real reason they threw the "legal actions may be taken" threat. Too bad Mutahar and the other guy gave 0 shits about the threat and are still hammering at the situation. Your move fatman.

I'm willing to bet Jirard saw the money wasn't donated because of incompetence, asked a lawyer about how he could explain it away once Karl started looking into it, and the first thing that came to mind was a restricted donation.

His story about why they “switched” from a private foundation to a public charity makes no sense either. If anything, being a private foundation has more freedom than a public charity, but he said the opposite. But a public charity has a higher tax deductible percentage (60% to 30%). It also needs board of directors that are at least 50% representative of the public. So it’s clear why they “switched”, to pay way less taxes, and not even follow the rules. He did so much damage in that video to himself, almost worst than the discord call.
My autism led me to believe his lawyers are from a firm called Bleufox. It’s ran by a guy who did criminal defense for corporate officers, and his underlings are a sand negro and a Russian whore. They look incredibly shady themselves, and probably have zero education towards charity law. They probably did not realize the mistakes they made when they gave Jirard the go ahead to make that stupid apology video.

This got me thinking, most people watching some random dude online don't even know and probably assume he is 100% some western dude. They just see this weird bearded guy playing a video game and think, "Oh, he's just another weird bearded guy doing video game stuff for money. He's just like me! Subscribed!"
But he's not just like you at all. He has cultural values that are entirely different and that means concerning aspects like this charity, he won't be making decisions based on the kind of moral-fagging most people believe one ought. Maybe screwing the western pigs is just a matter of course for these folks.
