OrbiterJetrex / Jetrex56 / Logan Alan Westfall - arrested on suspicion of sexually molesting 8 year old
3 million dollar bail lol. I wonder if that's "We don't want him getting bail because he's an alleged child molester" or if he was deemed a flight risk.

What’s going on, guys? Haven’t been around much. Sorry to say so. But uh.. heh.. been doing a lot of things. As you can see right there. (points to construction behind him) I’m building a shed. Or at least, it’s called one, but, it’s gonna be more of like a little… special room. (points upward behind him) You can see a little (?)top apartment(?) over there.. air conditioner and either whatever’s gonna go.. just got done. Sorry I haven’t been able to talk to you guys. This is just for my buddies, by the way. Not like a real video or anything. Sorry I haven’t gotten to talk to you guys for a bit. I’ve just been.. dealing with all this, the move and all that. I live in a different town.. in a really nice place, actually. But I hope I’ll be able to talk to you guys soon. Just wanted to give you an update. I’m just not gonna be able to be around as often anymore. Cause I got a lot of shit to do. Besides just building that. So I just wanted to let you guys know that, since, it kinda felt a little fucked up just disappearing, from most of you. So I will talk to you guys later. Peace out, guys.
TIL that it's also common practice to charge an arrested individual with the most severe crime possible so that bail will be set higher, even if it's almost certain those charges will be reduced in prosecution or conviction.

(all the below are DIFFERENT cases, they're just here because we're discussing the extremely high bail amount and these are cases from the same police department which may help to put some perspective on Jetrex's bail amount)
For comparison (from the same Police Department press releases):
= $850,000 bail
= $300,000 bail
= $915,000 bail
= $2,473,000 bail
The police department's press release states that Jetrex bail is set at "$3 million" but the actual prison booking page says $2.1 million
So if the amount is $2.1 million or $3 million its pretty indicative that whatever he did was extremely heinous. I'm sure there are people on here who have a better understanding on what could prompt an extremely high bail amount like that.
This is how Texas sets bail (Jetrex was in California, this is just reading on the topic):
Yeah the only thing I knew about bail before this was that judges aren't supposed to use it to prevent someone from posting bail for the sole reason of "we want this guy to stay in jail as punishment" since obviously that's imprisonment without conviction of a crime.

I'm guessing it has to do with the specific charges, which the news article and press release has only "sort of" detailed...
289(A)(1)(B)
(B) Any person who commits an act of sexual penetration upon a child who is under 14 years of age, when the act is accomplished against the victim’s will by means of force, violence, duress, menace, or fear of immediate and unlawful bodily injury on the victim or another person, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for 8, 10, or 12 years. https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=PEN§ionNum=289.
288(A)
288. (a) Except as provided in subdivision (i), any person who willfully and lewdly commits any lewd or lascivious act, including any of the acts constituting other crimes provided for in Part 1, upon or with the body, or any part or member thereof, of a child who is under the age of 14 years, with the intent of arousing, appealing to, or gratifying the lust, passions, or sexual desires of that person or the child, is guilty of a felony and shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for three, six, or eight years. https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?sectionNum=288.&lawCode=PEN
The problem with that is that the victim was most likely someone from his family or within his social circle. So I doubt he really has much to share in the way of evidence against other people.
Another point is that the news articles on this case are limited and all the "journalists" simply read the police department press release to write their articles.
The problem with the police report is that it doesn't actually make a distinction of whether he was reported "by a family member" or if the child was molested "by a family member"
"The Red Bluff Police Department received a report of the molestation of an 8 year old child by a family member."
Its possible to get both of those scenarios out of the same sentence and its even plausible that if the report was made externally that it came from someone he knew on the internet.
Even if he did take a plea for a lesser charge by ratting out another pedo, he molested someone in his family. If/when he gets out you can bet he's not gonna be around family so group home for him. So he'll be just like his buddy Ross.
This is pretty much mine as well. It also indicates they consider him a flight risk, because who wouldn't consider running away rather than getting raped and murdered in prison?

It's intended to ensure you appear. This is why celebrities usually get it even when they're accused of something heinous. It's not letting them off easy, it's just where exactly are they going to hide?
Deep mental problems likely brought on by some deep psychological issues. That or it's just the autism of sperging over a shitty gamer scammer making these guys hope people don't find out about their own skeletons (and look where that landed people like Fred Fuchs and Jetrex).
