He did that for pleasure. He also wrote an article about shoving amiibo up his butt; that he presumably also didn't get any monetary compensation for.
Most people just go and buy a dildo, but clearly that's too much work for ol' Jedder Pedders.
I look forward to his next step from here. He shut down his patreon, and given that he's been super public about the fact his previous "employers" didn't even bother to pay him, why would anybody actually bother to give him a job, it's clear he's happy to just do it for free.

I knew that he was an idiot and I knew that he had written an entire article explaining how Microsoft should implement censorship into their messaging system to prevent people from sending messages with offensive words, but I never knew about a lot of this other shit. At this point, I don't know what's dumber - the fact that Destructoid started paying him in "exposure" instead of actual money, or the fact that he kept on writing despite receiving no payment at all. Either way, they deserved each other - Jed deserved the "no-pay" clause for his awful writing, and Destructoid deserved his awful writing.
