Love how it's so chill yet intensive at the same time.
Goddammit, now that's beautiful. Red Garland is such a good pianist, he almost sounds like Debussy here. Davis' command of the trumpet is incredible as always, his phrasing, dynamics an restricted yet focused play style really shines through to create a cerebral yet emotive improvisation. Really shows you don't have to play lots of lightning fast notes to be a virtuoso. As John Scofield would put it: "Ah nevah let da fingas to da walkin".This is one of my favorite Miles covers:
