Kevin Smith decided to drop the trailer for this sure fire hit /sneed the same day the trailers for It Part 2 and Cats dropped.[/SIZE]


Honestly surprised Saban is producing this and not Amazon. Since Kev has hosting a show on IMDB for a while now.
 
Well it's Saban (US Rights), Universal (Everywhere else), and Miramax producing. And Saban has been doing alright in the "Select Theaters w/ VOD" release strategy that IFC FIlms, Magnolia/Magnet have been doing for at least 15 years.

Looks a bit tired but I'll see it anyway.
 
The funny thing about Kevin Smith is that his stoner films went to shit when he actually started smoking weed. As for the trailer; all the acting from the supporting cast is terrible and Jay and Silent Bob both look like they are 70. Dunno who this film is for since I'm pretty sure the kids these days don't know Lunchbox and even a fat, dope smoking, man child like me grew out of it a good decade ago. Looking at those old, decrepit men rehashing their stale jokes just makes me sad and reminds me of my own mortality.
 
I found Tusk amusing enough in a "he actually got this shit into theaters" way, but Kevin's completely lost his touch at this point.
 
Kevin got Jayson off drugs long enough to make a movie?

You know the first thing Jay is going to do with the Money is OD on something, right?
 
I've of mixed feelings. On the one had I actually like Smith's old stuff and there's some good bits in the trailer- like fucking Val Kilmer cameoing as Blunt-Man...on the other, Smith's creativity has petered out a long time ago, and the first scene in the trailer is pure cringe.
 
Kevin Smith should just stick to doing stand up/story telling and TV shows. Although, I do like Clerks 2 but that was the last good thing he ever made.
 
Kevin Smith got less funny the more everyone got the ability to make obscure references to things for themselves online.

Totally agree, but Clerks had the great dialogue to keep you in the moment and none of the people in it were pros. That is why the shitty acting really jumps out at me here. These people act for a living. Clerks is still probably my favorite comedy, but after watching this trailer and trying to watch that godawful "Jay & Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie" that came out a couple of years back I have absolutely no hope in this being anything but shit.
 
This is a movie for people who still listen to Ska music....

Is this movie going to be a series of pictures of Kevin Smith crying for no reason?

I've come to show complete disdain for that blubbering pussy....
