Legendary tune, and agreed. I feel like Ferraro is easily the best and most effective example of the "Hypnagogic Pop" idea in practice, because his music genuinely feels like a half-remembered dreamlike amalgamation of early childhood memories in a way that doesn't come across as contrived or tasteless. Not many are capable of pulling this off but James can, for whatever reason. I think it's because he's a genuinely strange guy with a sense of humor that wouldn't be unfamiliar to posters on a site like 4chan, KF, or the Sharty but also has a keen eye for culture and how it propagates itself via the internet.
