When NBA Street was a joy to both play and witness

I guess Fruitopia was pretty good. A solid clear liquor mixer

I remember discovering penpal message boards in the early to mid 2000s as they teenager. It was absolutely wild to me how I could be talking to someone across the world, in real time, and gradually discovering more about them.

This was back when you had nothing more than a basic BBS with text only posts, and you'd reply directly to someone's email through a form. No pictures, no social media, nothing. Of course you could get that stuff later when you were on more intimate terms, trading photos and whatever.

I dunno man, there was something magical about that kinda stuff, shit we don't even think about now. I still remember trading metal band mp3s (pre YouTube) with some Japanese guy in Osaka. Blew my mind at the time.

I’d give anything for it to be 2005-2010 again. I miss everything from back then. Shit, I’ll settle for as far as 2012 but not a cunt hair further. Everything is just terrible now in every way.

bitches used to put out for everyone under the top 10 percent of Chads, now? theyre frigid bitches! thats why i was cracking up when they were talking about a sex strike mad cause they cant abort their little niglets.... like as if you bitches put out anyway

Here's my very specific nostalgia: Going to Blockbuster, picking out games and/or movies, going to the cashier and seeing those PICKLES IN A BAG just hanging out there. I was so grossed out by them and I'd make a comment about it every single time and my dad would just sigh.

Also, game guides. Those were fuckin legit. I also miss magazines, I was subscribed to a few that sent pretty awesome monthly packages. Subscription boxes don't hit the same way those magazines did.

Another thing I miss is how easy it was to go to the museum or the zoo or other cool places. It was so much cheaper back then. The museum near where I grew up shaped a lot of my interests. Planetariums with those cool projectors that make you feel like you're actually moving don't even exist anymore except for a single one in the entire world, all the rest have gone digital and the effect is nowhere near as intense.

Windows 2000 being the best and some software still costing 50k per license.

I guess that's software for professional use?

For home use, Photoshop was pretty expensive, as in upper three digits Canadian expensive (probably close to $1.5K in today's Canadian dollars) but I still miss having even the option of being able to buy Photoshop with an eternal license instead of having to subscribe each month (or just use open-source photo-editing software instead).

I miss being wowed by technology and its colorful aesthetics. Nowadays everything is so flat and same looking IMO.

Also that blueish gray color that was popular in the earlier 00's with most electronics. *hugs sleeper pc*
