Don't give up, Chris! You have a mad old woman and a brain-damaged cat to live for!
Chris has no idea how the grown-up world works. He thinks "office job" is a career.
I have two theories. One is, as you say, that people here kept pointing out that she was obviously fake. Chris knows that a woman falling in love with him who he's never met IRL is probably a troll, so Eyebrows' strategy was a risky one and she didn't want to rock the boat.
OR she was briar patching. She "fell for" Chris during the Doopie business, when Chris demonstrated that he will perform all sorts of mental gymnastics to blame the trolls for ruining his chances of china. Not long before his date, despite mostly ignoring us, Chris directly engages with KF, having been told that he has to "face his demons." Then we, who have been aware of Jessica for years, suddenly decide to hack her Facebook account. All seems a bit too coincidental to me.
My theory is this. Jessica advised him not to come here, but told him to face his demons. Maybe she said something along the lines of, "I love a woman who's brave enough to face her demons, but you're probably not strong enough to deal with Kiwi Farms. You shouldn't go there, they'll eat you alive. Shame, because if you were able to face your demons on KF, I'd drive over and have sex with you right now. Such a pity it wouldn't be wise for you to do that, because I'm pretty horny." Chris came here, which gave Jessica the perfect excuse to "get hacked," get mad at Chris for disobeying and call the date off. Chris didn't question this, because she herself gave him reason to blame the trolls.
