It's impossible to discuss anything on KF these days.

"I wanna talk about media."
"Cool. You wanna bitch about how everything is woke?"
"No, actually, I'm kinda bored of that and wish we could talk about something else."
"Too bad! 'Woke Bad' is the only discussion allowed here!"

"Hey, I wanna talk about something philosophical."
"Is it about Eugenics?"
"No."
"Sorry, all Deep Thoughts threads must somehow be about how White Man has superior genes no matter what the original topic was."
SOOOOOOO TRUE KING

or you either make an argument in a multimedia thread and you get threadbanned for "shitting up the thread"

Watching the tone of this thread go from "hey, the pink triangle is speaking some hard truths" to "get bent, niggerfaggot" in only 5 pages has been fun.

Not for the kind of questions I have.

I'm pretty sure the reason I got that is because I got a little too heated in one thread and crossed a line, not because I keep making threads.
Stop using Google and use Searx, All the Internet, Wiby, and Marginalia when you want to see some non-pozzed search results. Bing is fine for when you absolutely need to search the pozweb.

Which ones? Cuz often the whole reason I start topics is because there's something I need to know or want to ask about and I don't see a relevant thread already. And yes I do search first.

I feel like you're mistaking me for someone else.
Whats more important to identify are the people willing to discuss a subject, not so much the reception of it. The majority of users here are not mentally healthy people. Trying to get reason from them is not going to work.

Thanks, I'll remember those.

But its not about the search engine, its about the subjects. Yeah I get something like "researching Gamecube controllers" could probably be looked up either on forums or online, but exactly what search terms would one use for a lot of my more esoteric posts?

Then of course there's the problem of Over-Generalization--or as I call it "TV Tropes brain." I already had a thread where I asked people "what's a western animation equivalent of Detective Conan?" and literally got Inspector fucking Gadget as an answer (the two shows are nothing alike).... that sort of thing gets way the fuck worse when you involve computers and search algorithms. I can't count the number of times I searched "games like Lemmings" and search returned Command & Conquer (which is, again, nothing like Lemmings).

Stop watching children's cartoons, you faggot. If noone is willing to have a conversation with you it's because you are boring, "researching gamecube controllers" nigga you are fucking dull.

Stop watching children's cartoons, you faggot.
But then I would have to not read your posts (since they're not much different from a children's cartoon).

Also of course a topic that has a practical purpose is going to be "boring" you fucking retard. They're not made for fun. The "fun" stuff is things like where I suggest magic is real but we don't see it because its nothing like in fantasy fiction. I'm sure everybody is discussing that OH WAIT.

I think you may need to read about things outside of disposable commercial entertainment. I would suggest a very broad understanding of history.

I don't disagree that many of the users here are perpetually miserable spergs who rant endlessly about woke this and niggers that (it gets tiresome even when you do agree with them), but you get unreasonably incensed when others don't engage with your threads the way you want them to.
Most of the threads you make are about niche topics that other users don't care about, you're not gonna get riveting multi-page on-topic discussions about them, not to mention that many of them read like stream-of-consciousness schizoposts.

Also, the Thunderdome is a containment board for politispergs, if you make a thread there you will get them sooner or later. It's like jumping into a chimp enclosure at the zoo and getting surprised that you're being torn apart by chimps.

Err, what? The one time I recall getting "incensed" was the Nerd Double Standards thread and that was because for some reason people thought it was a My Little Pony topic (when that was just one of the examples in the OP).

And it wasn't just the people on page one who were mad I said being a man into MLP was no different than being into Kirby. Those people made sense. It was when on page two I provided prompters for other things and people for some reason still had the idea that all the double-standards had to relate to MLP somehow.

The only other thing I really get mad about is when we were actually saying interesting things then someone goes in a "standard" direction--the afformentioned Eugenics and Wokeness shit (though there are others--any mention of the paranormal will inevitably bring out a Bible-thumper but they tend to not be thread-derailers). The problem isn't me being hyper-picky with engagement, its "guys the entire rest of the forum is already about this, why do you have to shit up my space?"

I'd rather the topics die entirely than be turned into "Eugenics Topic #056780547" or "Today on the 'Transgenderism Ruined my Life' Show."

.... Petition to rename Autistic Thunderdome to the Monkeysphere submitted.

REALLY makes you think...
Honestly my thought in that case was the person realized "Detective" and "Inspector" were synonyms but hadn't actually seen either show.

Detective Conan is a show that's like an animated version of Agatha Christie, with a focus on mysteries with logic you could possibly solve before Conan does.... Inspector Gadget is about slapstick comedy.

It's literally the difference between "Sherlock Holmes as written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle" and "Tom and Jerry Meet Sherlock Holmes."

Have participated in many and many a good discussion, some great, here over the years. Discussions here are normally far better than IRL. Here, you can often find people with a very wide range of expertise on almost any subject. Great chance to learn and share what you know. If someone's acting like an asshole don't waste time getting into a pissing contest, just put them on Ignore.

At least that's the way it works for me on Articles and News, where I tend to hang out. Just do stuff on other threads now and then, but I'll put an asshole on Ignore no matter where I am participating.

To be honest I don't even remember or register that I'm dealing with different Kiwis a lot of the time, unless they're really distinct or do something to make themselves stand out.

Also didn't know KF had an ignore function. I'm actually a little disappointed that it does. I recall once on TV Tropes (whose forums used to not have a built-in ignore function) someone made a Chrome extension that added one, then blocked me... but then would respond to my posts anyway (rather, he would accept other people's third-party accounts of what I had said--which were often twisted--and then respond to that).

That's the kind of people I think about whenever I think about an ignore function.

There's a million media threads, complaints about Wokeism will pop up but doesn't usually dominate discussion. All you wanna ever do is defend woke shit when it comes to media, go to Reddit if you want your safespace.

Politsperging rapefugees came and replaced our high culture with their inferior culture.
I'm being ironic... somewhat.
And thank God, there's virtually no other forum of note where you don't get banned for saying you don't like the tranny flag being in games.

Also didn't know KF had an ignore function. I'm actually a little disappointed that it does.
That and the private profile option are gay.

Which became a Eugenics thread so thanks for proving my point I guess.

go to Reddit if you want your safespace.
Dude I deleted my Reddit account because they were even more insufferable, the fuck are you smoking?

Oh well. Wanna go talk about old cartoons and seethe when people tell us "watch something for adults"?
