unironically there's been instant backlash now. I remember in 2021 when Castlevania released their shitty last season with 15th century having a populous of 80% gay africans and lesbian tranny vampires and people gave it a 10/10 soying out.

The shows released now, like Velma and other gay virtue signalling shows are arguably no different, but it seems like people are sick of it and these companies need to make a profit in the end of the day.
