I am so happy this thread exists...

Well, I'll keep this thread alive. I'll start with some...

New Italo Disco. These songs were released in the 21st century and operate as a solid homage to some of the best of what the 80's had to offer.

Gianni Durante - "My Heart Is On Fire" (2018 )

Gianni Durante - "Shotgun" (2018 )

(Link to Gianni Durante's Bandcamp for the above tracks)
"True" Italo Disco. These tracks were indeed released in the heart of the 1980's and are indeed what I do consider to be true 80's music.

Mike Mareen - "Love Spy" (1986)
(Vinyls available here)

Marce - "I Want You" (Spanish Version) (1987)
(Vinyls available here)

That's all I will drop right here. I'll probably drop something fresh in about a week or so from here on out. I love this genre to death.

Última edición:
Rather shamefully, I do enjoy listening to Italo-Disco, Disco, City Pop, Future Funk, certain Hi-NRG, etc., there is something about the enforced happiness of it. Some of the best have already been posted like Faces by Clio and Self Control by Laura Branigan (RIP).

Many of these videos are unavailable for me and the first page almost 41%ed my terrible laptop, so I apologise if I am reposting anything. I am more shocked that I haven't seen these which I consider to be very mainstream songs. This first one was in the soundtrack to the wonderful 2005 Rockstar PlayStation 2 game The Warriors:
This next one was famous for being the soundtrack of the 'Wide Putin' meme, which I used to bother my friends with relentlessly for a while back in 2020/2021:
Finally, I'm not sure if this would be more City Pop or Italo-Disco, or maybe even both, but it was released by Benito Mussolini's granddaughter in Japan (I'm sure most of you are familiar with this story by now):
There is also a significant portion of songs from the soundtrack of the Scarface film and video game, both produced by Giorgio Moroder.

Whilst previewing this, I have noticed that the unavailable videos are simply not embeddable: you just have to press the link to watch them on YouTube in a new tab. EMI/UMG JewTube nonsense, I imagine; similar problems happen when you try to link on Discord, etc.

Gianni Durante - "My Heart Is On Fire" (2018 )
I came across this some time ago and could only fucking recall it for the Lynn Minmay artwork used for its front cover
Giorgio Moroder + that guy from The Human League
I picked up the LP of that last year, it's alright. Not as good as E=MC2, but shares that similar blending of each track into one another on side 1.
On another note I wonder if any of you have been pajeetly algorithm into Mike Mareen. That thick mustache and curls reminds me of Moroder

Mike Mareen - Dancing in the Dark [Galactica Re-mix]

Holy shit these youtube embeds are killing Firefox. If I repost something then uh, fuck it. I love italo disco and hi-nrg, can't get enough. Here are some of my favorites and I hope you kiwis like them too:
Valerie Dore - Legend (1986) - Dreamy, ethereal sounding italo disco entirely themed after Arthurian legends

Fun Fun - Have Fun! (1985) - Peppy mix of italo disco and hi-nrg, some of the models in music videos are hot too

Spagna - Spagna (1987) - One of the best italo disco singers, not as amateur of a voice
