Israel and Turkey are increasingly on bad terms with one another. Putting aside the obvious religious differences, The Turks deeply oppose Israeli military operations in Gaza, refuse to designate Hamas as a terrorist organization and aim expand their regional influence in the Middle East which the Israelis also aim to do. To complicate matters even further, Israel is a prominent ally of the United States while Turkey is a member of NATO, a military alliance with the United States at its center.
