Israel-Turkey Feud.png

Israel and Turkey are increasingly on bad terms with one another. Putting aside the obvious religious differences, The Turks deeply oppose Israeli military operations in Gaza, refuse to designate Hamas as a terrorist organization and aim expand their regional influence in the Middle East which the Israelis also aim to do. To complicate matters even further, Israel is a prominent ally of the United States while Turkey is a member of NATO, a military alliance with the United States at its center.

To summarize the current state of relations:
It's funny how Israel goverment cares about Armenian genocide only when they have to argue with Turkey. (If I am wrong and Israeli goverment has officially recognized Armenian genocide before, please tell me).

To be fair, even my country abstained from acknowledging it because "we will not do anything affecting our neutrality in our relations with all the countries of the Black Sea region". Back then our president was such a scum, despite that almost all citizens believed in Armenian genocide. Good riddance.
Either way, this upcoming conflict should be interesting..

They just recognized it literally yesterday lol. The reason for that other than Jews is because Azerbaijan also denies it and they're basically Israel's only friend in the region+one of their main sources of oil.

This current spat is just another case of Netanyahu fleeing forwards to try and save his own skin, the difference is that this is probably his most risky gamble yet since Turkey is the only country in the region with a semi-competent military that can actually threaten Israel directly. Of course nobody necessarily wants a massive war happening but you could say that about every war ever.

I never understood this recognition of genocide thing.

Muslims genocided the greeks, Armenians, Assyrians and the Maronites.

This isn't a controversial historical fact.

Countries like America or Israel should just acknowledge it as fact without necessarily implying anything about their policies (after all the kurds and the azaris are equally as responsible as the Turks but Israel Loves them).

NOOOOOOOOOOOO GOYIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM YOU NEED TO DESIGNATE HAMAS INTO THE SHITTING STREETS THEY ARE TERRORISTS

meanwhile turkey bombs their own kurdish and syrian people be like nuh-uh dey are muslim brothers
