Yes, Tyler Perry is gay. Tyler Perry and Lindsey Graham have a lot in common in that they're both trying to appeal to southern little c conservative audiences.
I don't think that South Carolina is ready to elect an openly gay US senator. That said, Lindsey Graham is gay and anyone who matters in SC knows that. It's an open secret, but as long as Graham never comes out and says he's gay he's golden. No issues at all. People just come up with folksy, polite ways to talk about it, "You know, Lindsey's a different kind of man." etc etc.
It's the exact same deal with Perry. As long as he never comes out and explicitly states it he's fine. I would be extremely surprised if he ever publicly came out of the closet but he's certainly rich enough to not have to give a fuck about the backlash so you never know.
