And here, I thought that Sonic was supposed to use lamp posts as checkpoints. I guess New York is totally a different game.
 
I knew it was going to be the WKRP in Cincinatti Turkey Drop bit before I even clicked on the link.

I like the My Neighbor Totoro homage from the very first Bob's Burgers Thanksgiving episode.

 
I've read legends that the WKRP episode is based on a real incident. The real one they just chucked them from off the back of a high up truck or something but the result was the same.
 
Calvin And The Colonel - Thanksgiving Dinner
The Colonel invites the whole family to his place for Thanksgiving next year. Soon enough it's next year and now he has to come up with food for thirty-six while being mostly broke! Clearly this is a job for Slightly Disguised Amos And Andy!
Some pretty sharp writing in more than a few spots. Onlines say the original Amos And Andy story this was based on was about Easter Dinner instead.

includes Willard Scott trying to quip about Spider-Man and showing how much he's reading off cards as he talks about "web rays from his hands" "Octopus The Green Goblin" and concerns that Spidey doesn't mistake him for "a kingpin"
also Kermit The Frog and that beardo who always hangs around with him show up to check out the new Kermit balloon, has some nice bits of Kermit reacting to stuff
