I bring this up because I recall on the last forum there was some conflicted statements on Snyder. Some people thought he was just a guy that wanted to run his business without any incidents, and others thought he picked on Chris. [cwc]Michael_Snyder[/cwc] for some background reading and to see videos, youtube comments, ect.

He may not have known how to handle Chris. It's definitely a possibility he made a few mistakes in doing that. However, knowing Chris and knowing the way he can be: I can hardly blame the guy. I think in the end he has to do what's best for his business, and if there's a manchild running around scaring his customers away, it's logical he'd be frustrated with him. I don't think the whole story is known, but knowing Chris it's hard to imagine Snyder's actions being unjustified. After all, it's not like Snyder's store is the only one he got banned from.
This is talking about pre-ban though.

After his ban, we know the deal. There's no justification for Chris's behavior towards snyder. Not even the slightest bit. He threatened to blow it up, hit Snyder with his car, trespassed several times and got angry that Snyder didn't like him doing that, which we all know ended in Chris going racist at least once. There's no excuse, and I do feel bad for Snyder. For some reason, Snyder still cut Chris a break during the court case, but even that was met with ungratefulness. It's pretty clear who the bad guy in the equation is, and it's not snyder.

I really don't know how the guy could've been more understanding. He nearly got killed TWICE by Chris and when he had a chance to stick it to OPL, he told the judge to just keep him out of his hair for as long as he owned the Game Place, to make them rightfully pay for his medical bills and that he'd take no pleasure in making OPL and his mom felons. Of course we all know how Chris thanked him.

Maybe he didn't know how to handle autistic kids, but it's not his responsibility to babysit Chris or treat him for autism. That was Borb's responsibility.

I just think he's a guy trying to run his business. I know Snyder is always happy to tell his side of the story, yet Chris' silence on the matter as well as the sheer fantasy produced if he does open his yap doesn't bode well for OPL.

I really feel bad for Snyder, not just because Chris caused so much trouble for him and his business, but that his name (like many other innocent people) is now forever associated with the World's Biggest Manchild. Just do a quick Google search...

This.

I'd say he's just guy trying to run his business, in spite of Chris' constant harassment. I'd say he reacted in an understandable way, Chris was acting in a really creepy, bizarre way which was scaring off Snyder's business, so he banned him.

Borb just dumped him off at the gameplace as his new daycare facility once he wore out his welcome at toys r us. There is a track record of him treating public places as his playground. Borb encouraged this. Because he was out of their hair for the time being. It may not be Snyder not knowing how to handle an autistic as much as Chris acting like the brat he is and also scaring away business.

I feel Snyder is just a guy trying to do things in the best interests of his business and his other customers.

After having worked at a video game store, I learned that a lot of parents do this - particularly those whose children are a little on the difficult side at home. I had to ask parents not to leave their children unattended in the store - a lot of times I was working alone - because I couldn't (and wouldn't) be responsible for anything that happened to them. Parents expected me to personally attend to their child's every want or need for however long they'd be gone, which was impossible, not just because I wasn't there to babysit, but 99% of the time, I was running the store alone and had customers and other crap to deal with.

We had an incident where a special needs boy had been left at the store and what started off as innocently as the store manager politely telling him that he should let a younger boy play the demo game the kid had been playing for over an hour, escalated to the store manager getting cracked in the face with a video game controller the kid threw at him. When mall security was called and attempted to escort the special needs boy out of the store, he flipped out again, kicking and screaming, and when his mother finally showed up about an hour later and I told her what had happened, she berated me (the store manager had left shortly after filing an incident report,) for calling mall security and that her son was special needs and should've been just allowed to play the games. After a talk with the district manager, it was agreed that the boy no longer be allowed in the store without a parent or guardian.

I mean, that's an extreme example of what could happen in a place of business when children (particularly special needs ones,) are left unattended, but Chris was known to have outbursts at the Game Place and I'm sure Snyder didn't want anything to escalate, especially if there were younger kids there, because it becomes a safety concern.

I believe Snyder is just an innocent guy who is running a business, and that he had to deal with our pet lolcow on a few troublesome occasions. Snyder also showed himself to be mericful towards Chris when he chose not to press felony charges from the October 28, 2011 incident.

Honestly, does anyone know how to handle Chris, other than banning him?

That sounds like something Chris would do in plain (physical) adulthood.

Snyder is an innocent man who had the misfortune of Christian Weston Chandler waddling into his life. If I were Synder, Chris would now be a convicted felon, unable to collect undeserved money any longer. The fact that Chris views him so badly just shows what a pitiful and spoiled little baby he is. There are only a few things that really anger me about Chris, but this is one of my hot buttons. He hit the man with his car, blamed Synder, and pitches a fit like a little kid because he isn't allowed in the toy store anymore. Pardon my A-Logging, but Chris, grow a brain and grow some balls. You're a fucking adult. Get a fucking life, you fat fucking fuck.

*sigh*

Mr. Snyder got dealt a bad hand. That's really all that happened. I'm sure if he knew how to handle autistic manchildren, things would have gone a lot smoother. On the other hand, I don't think Chris is your average autistic manchild.

Mike is actually a pretty nice guy, and after doing business with him a few times I grew to empathize with him.

Mr. Snyder was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when Borb went out looking for another free babysitter for their adult autistic child. Chris could just as easily have ended up some other store manager's problem.

Agreed. I recall posts from the previous forums in which somebody said that Chris's parents would just drop him off at a TRU, or a pokemon league on a Friday night for a few hours. His socially retarded behavior was a ticking time bomb primed to explode under the right circumstances; the confluence of Megan, his burgeoning internet fame made this a reality.
