I enjoyed coming into an online space where I could say nigger. But nowadays I can go out and say nigger anywhere and people will say nigger back. So what's the point of coming here to say nigger if I can go to my local social club and also say nigger. The strong stance on keeping content and otherwise purged information archived such as shoe0nhead's nudes and Nick Avocado's infamous anus was also pretty cool. The old-school vibes of unfiltered internet discussion was neat.

However, nowadays I do not see this place as "cool". in fact it is more passé than cool, if not somewhat cringe. This site feels like soccer mom anonymous. It all revolves around a pearl clutching forced outrage circlejerk of soccer moms, gay men pretending to be soccer moms, and drug addicts pretending to be gay men pretending to be soccer moms.

I'm a firm believer of the cultural pendulum, well it's more of a cultural cycle of 4 to 8 phases for me but that's too complicated to explain. From 2015 to 2025 we lived in a time where the main culture was massive outrage about le racism and le whateverthefuck phobia. Being counter culture was acting racist and offensive and dunking on and dismissing these pearl clutchers. But it feels like people are stuck in the roleplay. Narrowing your mind to being actually racist without realizing no one cares anymore. Everyone I've met hates niggers and jeets, the SJW era is over. The current US government is run by chuds and wine aunts who are probably current or past users here. But what really struck me is the people have turned their counter-culture into a perpetual state of blinding rage and furthermore, they have begun to act like SJWs advocating for censorship and another patriots act to "own the libs" or "own le right wing men or stupid women". This for me doesn't seem cool, it's kinda lame and kinda cringe. Like aren't we supposed to laugh at retards wearing diapers instead of getting mad at the internet what the heck man. People are just being narrowminded racists and gendersperging in a time where that isn't really cool no more. Do you believe you're still cool, are "we" still cool?

I agree that this is mostly TERF haven, and a Reddit 2.0 nowadays, but it's more crass & funny than other wesbites (outside of the shitty Salon), it has a format that I like (unlike Reddit, Twitter, or other forums), and has a certain culture (in part) that other places do not have.

I made an account for 4 reasons actually. Saying nigger was a nice bonus.

1. Retaining information and leaks was enticing. Also saw someone in the Capcom leak thread say he had new information and posted the "info" in spoilers which was just a pic of Ryu with his cock out which I found really funny.

2. Shoe0nHead nudes and other e-celeb leaks that were only available here and the "private spoiler" function was introduced forcing me to make an account.

3. There were like 2 retards talking about how having sex with 22 year olds makes you a groomer and a pedo in the Arin Hanson thread during the Dan happening in 2021 and didn't notice anyone rebuking or shitting on these users for being retarded.

4. I noticed Jim Sterling had trooned out and it was revealed on his twitch like half a month before his YouTube reveal made news here and didn't see anyone make notice of it.

I think Kiwifarms is currently going through a phase of mainstreaming, not because of muh racism being allowed on Twitter again, but because of youtubers who are making money off of it.
I think so cause real-life countercultures usually go through a similar process before they become completely mainstream. E.g.: punks. They had their own values, culture, music that wasn't accepted by the dominant culture. But then someone realizes that some of those things are actually marketable, you just need to sanitize it a little, remove the unacceptable parts, like their radical political views. And so pop-punk bands appeared and made millions and eventually punk fashion started getting sold at shopping malls.
Same things with the Farms: you can keep the lolcow stories and remove the right-wing believes and vitriolic culture of the site, and now you can make marketable documentaries. People will watch them not only cause the lives of lolcows are fascinating, but cause being in the know shows that you're a true internet denizen and not a normie who only uses Facebook and Twitter.

On the other hand, viewers of these documentaries are not likely to engage with the Farms themselves. Also we can't speak about mainstream popularity until our dear feeder stops being deplatformed.
