In Australia, it's really only fucking over Victoria and - to a lesser extent - New South Wales. All other states and territories have managed to contain COVID-19 pretty well.

Some states, such as Western Australia, have been ruthless in its border closures. They're in a nice bubble. As an added bonus, a lot of the shit that gets pulled out of the ground and gets sent to China also just happens to be there, which happened to piss off some fat cunt from Queensland. Economically, the West is seems to be doing OK all things considered.

Victoria (well, mainly Melbourne) is a clusterfuck because Melburnians were too stubborn to stick to social distancing rules and the Victorian Government thought they could contain COVID-19 victims by hiring private security firms to keep COVID hotels under guard, instead of hitting up the Feds to send the Army in. Of course, a handful of security guards and quarantined people started rooting each other, and the rest is history.

Big Tech is one thing. But how can you miss out Big Pharma? Money is pouring into the industry right now and if they successfully scare populations into accepting mandatory, universal vaccinations every year from now 'till Armageddon it's going to be worthy many billions.
