Is a cricket bat better to hit things with than a baseball bat?

Just hitting things in general, like wasp nests and hard-rind squashes. I've hit things with a baseball bat before, but I've never even held a cricket bat. Do they only come in wood, or are there metal ones too, like baseball bats?

Cricket bats look pretty aerodynamic, but they also look like they might be more fragile. I saw crime scene photos where someone broke down a door with a cricket bat and the bat was OK afterward.

You can smash the fuck out of something with a cricket bat and it'll hold up a lot better than a wooden baseball bat, but they're clumsier to swing. I would prefer a cricket bat if I'm smashing out a rotten tree stump or a coconut or something but if I had to hit a person or angry dog I'd want a baseball bat.

And no they don't come in metal they only come in wood.

OP watched Shaun of the dead and doesn't want a Winchester, instead equipment for one of the gayest sports that will look like kinky sex paraphernalia sitting around in your house.
I've been wondering since The Young Ones, then recently I saw a true crime show about Oscar Pistorius.

You do have a good point: maybe I should make a yaoi paddle instead.
