🎭 Dramacow Invisible Crane / Grant McClellan / @This Is Hard To Do - Scottish DSP White Knight who Deletes Everything and Showed off his Dick, Alison Rapp's Lover

Shit, this guy is a real blast from the past. I first came across his antics almost a decade ago on the (now defunct) AnimeonDVD Forums, but he spread himself around a good few other places as well.

I remember that he used to get really angry about the fact that there were female voice actors younger than him dubbing anime. He was probably the first real lolcow I ever came across.

Oh, man. I remember Invisible Crane and how he was a big joke within the YouTube ranter community. A long time ago, Internet Aristocrat/Jim81Jim actually did a video regarding him. He created a fake résumé for him, and submitted it to various companies in Scotland. It was really hilarious, but I'm unable to find it. I'm worried that it has been lost forever, so if anybody has a backup of it. Please upload it to YouTube.

Also, this video is pretty hilarious:

Being based in Haggisland, I must do some research and see if any local nerds have any good stuff on this fellow...

From this channel? If that's the case give me the name of the video and I'll reupload it.
The ones I posted were his Adventure Time video and another video where was bitching about not having a girlfriend or something. Can't remember specifically what that one was called and @Hiruko posted a video where he was actually browsing the Gaijin Goombah thread here on the Farms and commenting on it.

You glorious fucker.
I was thinking of putting together a thread for Grant just last night but it seems I've been beaten to it.

I've got some interesting Grant stories that I could tell you guys.
I've been in a Skype call with him a couple times and experienced some of his...uh...uniqueness myself.

The thing to know about Grant is that you NEED to archive shit fast because he is so fucking terrified of "weens" and deletes everything once he catches even a whiff of a trolling attempt.
The interesting thing about him deleting things is that it never lasts long.
He's like Chris in the fact that he says he doesn't need the internet and will disappear off of it for a while, only to come back and tell people he's back and ask them for attention...only to then again begin whining about being trolled.

Here's his Twitter: https://twitter.com/InvisibleCrane

There used to be a channel up that was archived with some of his streams...but all the videos seem to be gone from it.
I'll work on trying to find out what happened to it.

You said he tends to delete things, so I archived it ;).

I first encountered Grant about a decade ago. Back then, he was very obsessed with becoming a voice artist, even if he really couldn't do any real voices other than his natural one, and he didn't even have adequate software on his computer to record any kind of decent demo. Instead, you'd hear that ding! going off every few minutes, and Grant would stop to say "Um, sorry 'bout dat ding there", before he went back to introducing himself. He also got banned from one anime forum after he pitched a huge fit when one of the female regulars on the forum was hired for a pretty substantial role in an upcoming project. Everyone else posted sincere messages of congratulations. Grant posted in all caps how unfair it was that he wasn't given the opportunity. At the time, all he had was that "sorry 'bout dat ding" demo that was circulating online, a three line "resume", and a reputation for constantly obsessing over his dream and whining whenever it didn't happen fast enough.

Like our buddy Chris, Grant also had a beef with Tara Strong (but I don't recall her ever answering anything Grant ever posted about her), and he had the amazing talent of revealing embarrassing personal information about himself on the internet. There's a lengthy conversation saved from AIM out there about Grant happily discussing his habit of pissing in empty Mountain Dew bottles late at night so he wouldn't wake up his parents (evidently the lightest sleepers in Scotland) by going to the john and flushing. Grant tried justifying this by adding that he had "never taken a dump in my room" before. If I can track down this conversation, I'll post it.

Over the years, though, I did notice that Grant had all but vanished from the internet, and I really thought he had turned a corner and gotten things back on track. I'm kind of amazed to see that's really not the case.

Hey @Invisible Crane. Why don't you date? You've complained quite a lot about not having a girlfriend to watch TV with.

Oh boy, this guy... Good memories, indeed.

I happened to find the original Grantics thread, but I can't seem to get much out of it right now. It's a great thread that needs to be preserved for generations. IIRC, the first few pages are just general conversation, but then GrantM shows up. That's when it gets legendary.

In the meantime, enjoy Grant's speech as a gopher at Kitacon 2009.

Here's a mini-grantics thread that's still active.
