I agree with M0JY0 about the anime losing its initial steam and having little to no plot to thread its episodes together. Also, I was pretty taken aback at how this recent episode broke the 4th wall with Riku revealed to have been telling us the contents of the episode the whole time. Why does he have to be an all-knowing narrator now, and conscious of the audience. Just what is this guy???

So we have a confirmation for a second season after a cliffhanger ending. Kinda annoyed that the preview for the last episode spoiled Setsuna's death. Still a pretty impactful ending and it's nice that the Moroha and Towa leveled up.

I have a feeling like the studio execs weren't sure about the reception so they made it a low budget 2 season and this explains the weird pacing, as if the series could just as easily wrapped up the last 2 episodes. I hope the next season will have a higher budget and someone who knows to make an actual fight choreography.

A couple of days ago we got confirmation that Yashahime's second season will be airing this fall.

I'm really hoping they tie up some loose ends, work on a more compelling story and flesh out the characters a bit more, especially Towa. Now that I've finished the first season I can say that I've come to like Setsuna (especially after episode twenty) and I've adored Moroha since day one, but Towa has fallen flat. It's too bad because I was really excited about her character in the beginning.

I also hope we find out more about what is going on with Rin, Inuyasha and the gang, etc. I'd also like to see more of Miroku, Sango and Hisui.

Reviving this on purpose because I went back and started from the beginning. Having never seen all the episodes of the original. I originally started watching some years back around the Tsubaki arc.

Show is pretty decent. Dub and sub are great. Holy shit the bully from A Christmas Story's irl mom is Kaede. It is bittersweet seeing Miroku 😭

I remember people were really pissed it wasn't airing on Toonami. I know the main reason is that its almost nearing TV-MA territory but only slightly. Mistress Centipede's skin falling off is nightmare fuel. The character nudity isn't sexualized. Also I can see why they didn't air it on Toonami because the violence is a lot more graphic than say Naruto or DBZ. Kagura slaughtering the tribe anyone? Yura of the Hair losing her limbs, decapitations galore, it is all reminiscent of Princess Mononoke.

The bickering between Inuyasha and Kagome isn't as annoying as I thought because it honestly is better than them being generic boring protagonists. The Kikyo/Kagome wars was apparently a more violent version of the Twilight Jacob/Edward wars and may have forced Kagome's original VA into retirement.

All in all its delightful. And I appreciate that it isn't 5 episodes of one single battle ala DBZ.

Kagome is a bitch

I just lost interest at the 2/3 point, it felt like the heroines power level wasn't really earned and their character was mostly static after the first batch of development

I watched this and it was a blur, I have no idea what happened especially towards the end. I remember they fought that teacher and I guess they won.

I can tell why there was never a 3rd season, but it was entertaining enough I suppose.

That's the thing they're all "lol look a dog" rather than him being like......cat. Or wolf. Plus no tail lol.
I guess there are a few dogs that naturally have pointy ears like that, but usually you have to cut them to make them look like that. Every cat has pointy ears like that though... Also cats and dogs both have tails... so whut?
