Indeed. Instrumental music can tell a story so well. Sometimes better than today's modern music. I tire of hearing the hopeless wailing and flailing of words that make no sense. It can be truly painful to listen to sometimes.

Question: You ever tried listening to Celtic-esque music mixed with rock/metal?

Skiltron, for example, an Argentinian band that's big on using bagpipes

Alestorm, as well, uses Celtic-esque music in a kickass way.
 
Honestly I have not. I do enjoy rock music when not listening to pure instrumental, so I might have to look into it. And who doesn't love bagpipes! Thank you for this valuable information.
 
I did a quick search and you are right, they are very interesting. Modern pirate music? Never dreamed of it before. I would honestly love to see this in a pirate movie.

I've been lurking on this site for about a month now, since it's given me something entertaining to do when I'm not busy working.

I guess I'll just come out and say it: I've been on tumblr for a few years now, and I've watched it turn into the mess it is today firsthand. I enjoy this place because it lets me laugh at stuff without feeling like I'll have someone screeching in my ear for it. It's nice to meet you all.
