did they use 'flipping' instead of 'fucking' in the original cut, or was that a TV thing?
 
I don't know about the entire game, but I know that the Great Mighty Poo from Conker Live and Reloaded had a few of the words censored. The real odd thing was that when it was originally released on the N64 there was none of that and it was generally a more kid friendly console, where as the Xbox seemed to be marketed more for people in their mid-late teens. Its not huge, just mostly some light swears and twat but still bizarre to me considering everything else in the game.

it's a standards and practices thing, like how you can say Shit on TV so long as it's not in reference to feces.
 
Die Hard with a Vengeance has a pretty good one.

Also the R-rated cut of Terror Firmer that was made for Blockbuster that has Lloyd Kaufman come up here and there to explain what's going on in the censored parts is pretty hilarious too. Bonus points cause the villain is a crazy troon in the flick.

 
BMX XXX is always one of the weirdest examples out there. Somehow while the "family-friendly" Gamecube (and Xbox) went unscathed Sony demanded they censor their version, which is even more baffling when you look at the straight-up porn games the PS2 eventually got (the Playboy one and the infamous banned Guy Game).

It's funny to look back at what was considered controversial back then because XXX is tame as shit. Badly pixelated tits and a dozen or so 30 second videos of real life chippendales dancers in which only a couple have any actual nudity in them and locked behind one of the worst games to come out that gen.
