I wonder what will Democrats do now that they have the house, presidency and senate and will realized eventually that there insane policieswon't work. I'm very hot and cold with Ted Cruz. I liked him fine when he first became Senator, but as the few years passed, it appeared to me that most of his actions were just for political theater and posturing while getting almost nothing done ... And those thoughts were confirmed when he announced his Presidential run in 2016.
He also really pissed me off with what he did to Ben Carson during the primaries; it was really sleazy. Not to mention he acted like a brat when Trump cleaned his clock in the primary, and his temper tantrum lasted until he almost lost his reelection to that Beta loser. Since 2018, he's done enough to get back into my good graces, and the fact that he didn't cuck tonight (even after ALL of the horrible shit that went down today) is enough for me to support him for now.
The only people in the entire government that I don't think are 100% slimeballs at this point are Gov. DeSantis, Rand Paul, Tulsi Gabbard, and Ted Cruz. Though, I'm fully ready for any of them to disappoint me at this point, too.

What’ll happen now that Democrats have free reign to pursue their pet projects? They double down and use brute force to change America into their desired image. Schumer’s “day that will live in infamy” doesn’t compare to Pearl Harbor. At all. Are people really that much of slaves to the moment that they can’t put things into context?
Also, the thing about calls for unity falls flat when you realize that 1. There are some people who WANT to remain divided, 2. There are people who feel that they’re outsiders if not lower than second class citizens in society, especially since it’s being painted as “the new normal”, and 3. You have people doing things like what happened today because they feel they got nothing to lose.
Nothing will change when it comes to how people feel about the situation, and if anything, people will only be entrenched in their beliefs, whether it’s MAGA needs to be completely purged out of society with the force of a thousand nukes in order to make this country a beacon of progressivism, or that Trump would have easily won in a landslide if COVID wasn’t unleashed on the world, and especially America.
