Went outside to water my flowers and think I accidentally gave my new mantis friend a bath
He blends in so well I had no idea he was there at first!

And I hope y’all will consider the spiders I took pictures of as honorary insects. I love taking pictures of these grass spiders that have made the corner of my house into an apartment complex of sorts lol
I’ve counted 6 in total so far

If we're open to sharing cool channels featuring bugs, then I've got one to share. Since some snails were shared too, this more recent video is fitting :)
Plus another nice video.

A bit late but here's a picture of one of my Damion Johnstonii (Tailless Whip Scorpion). Unfortunately they're super hard to keep alive and I've lost four of these guys as of recent, I assume it's mostly a issue with WC insects but yea, figured I'd show

It is generally not recommended to feed wild or house-caught bugs to your spoods/scorps because of pesticides. It may not be enough to kill the insect, but it is enough for a spider. Arachnids are extremely sensitive to chemicals. You should only feed them bugs from a reputable pet store or ones raised by you.

I figured this would come up, no I don't do that. The actual insect itself is WC not the food. I should've clarified

Anyone else have a interest in Onychophora (Velvet Worms?). I remember you could buy them from a private breeder a long time ago and now they seem to be totally obscure and never sold.

I think they're neat
