You're not wrong at all there. But eventually you'll find someone you click with far better than you have previously. It's trial and error really. Like I had mentioned earlier people grow apart over time and personalities/tastes will generally shift a lot. Sometimes people tend to turn into complete shitheels. Regardless though if you can evolve to those changes (ie be understanding, supportive etc) Then just carry on like normal. Change is actually pretty good. It keeps things fresh.
Then again some changes are too much bullshit to deal with period. The you just tear that shit off like a bandaid, chuck it in the trash and go on your way.

That's a elegant answer but I don't really think it's true sexual prowess has been a pretty consistent peer issue for the entire of our history even when morals apply opposite pressure.

I noticed the exact opposite. Many I meet are folks who have given up on all long term anything, except sexual gratification, and even then that's just short term solutions like prostitutes spammed continuously.
