I used to weight 350lbs. over the course of six months I was able to lose 120lbs. It is possible to lose weight very quickly but that is easier in a controlled environment that lets you focus on your diet, and you still need to have mental discipline and stability to do so. Also knowing the right foods to eat, and being able to keep active without injuring yourself.
Also having a stable diet helps a lot. losing 120lbs in six months is unhealthy, and you can gain all that back with interest if you have a severe disruption in your life such as lockdowns.
