If we live in a simulation, could there be "cheat codes" to reality?

Even the earliest video games had "good bad bugs", cheat codes, and "cheating devices" that allowed people to breeze their way through them. Even now, we still have those, with the added tool of modding software to change video games in any way we want.

If the universe is just a simulation, could there be something analogous to "good bad bugs", cheat codes, "cheating devices", and modding software for it?

I doubt we live in a simulation anyway. Everything would need to be simulated down the the photon-level, and there's most likely limitations to computing also.

Some people think that since simulations exist, that we're likely a simulation too. I think it's unlikely though.
