If the South had won the Civil War

How would things be different today?

Would there be "buy one Negro, get one free" sales on Confederate Independence Day? Would Planned Parenthood only be allowed to give abortions to Negroes? Would a product like Uncle Ben's or Aunt Jemima be kept on the shelf, or would they never have existed because who the fuck wants to open their kitchen cupboard and see a nigger?

Britain and France could reclaim their colonies in the North.

Trans-Atlantic trade could be more favourable for the South, since most Euro powers were playing it safe by staying in the good graces of the North during the Civil War.

At worst the same thing that happened to Haiti and complete collapse. At best, greatest agrarian civilization to exist and you can fight me on that.

The institution of slavery would have collapsed in the South within 50 years regardless due to technological advancement and the direction of the rest of the world. The real question would be whether the US would eventually be reunified or two separate nations would continue to exist. I would lean toward the latter, but who really knows? At that point, I see the South as more likely to have forced black people to relocate when the time came as opposed to the attempted forced assimilation the North attempted to implement. Maybe send them to the US or Canada, maybe send them back to Africa, maybe move them westward.

Too many variables on the global stage and major historical events to really say with any certainty. Pretty much everything would have played out differently. The rivalry between the US and Confederacy and further territorial expansion would have been extremely interesting. It also would have been a disastrous precedent to have been unable to stop secession in terms of attempting to field a stable country long-term.

Who is going to pay for the rebuilding of all the burned railroads and war ravaged infrastructure in the newly independent CSA? What do they rebuild the economy with when all the European textile mills have switched to Egyptian cotton? Them Yankees better be paying war reparations.

It would be a South Africa-tier shithole full of no-go zones and one whose resources and environment are constantly raped and exploited by other countries. The cities would be like 1-2 nice districts where rich people do business and then the rest would be miserable poverty full of gangs and where you'd be carjacked, raped, and murdered, not necessarily in that order. It would make the shittiest part of Atlanta or New Orleans or Memphis look reasonable and normal. The countryside would be a mixture of very poor blacks and mostly poor whites. Where the two races live in the same area you'd have farm invasions and other race war shit.

At best the South would've been taken over by populists who would've gradually sent the blacks back to Africa after they put away the retarded Greco-Roman-Old Testament-Cavalier larpers who owned the plantations. And the Jews too for that matter. Populist politician Thomas Watson blamed the Jews for exploiting the South, and he had a point since they funded slavery and helped start the Civil War (they put a Jew, one of their top politicians Judah P. Benjamin, on their money). Then the South would probably end like Argentina and full of pseudo-commies and bad economic policy. On the bright side there would be a lot less crime than IRL in the latter case and the murder rate in New Orleans, Memphis, and other shithole cities would be far lower, especially if they didn't flood the cities with Mexicans and Somalis.

The Souths win condition was survival in the form of Europe forcing the US to recognize them. As someone else said, there was no way they were beating the US. They might have had better soldiers and generals and a better cause but they didn't have more people or more industry. The North was literally conscripting Irish niggers right off the boats to be cannon fodder.

That being said, if the South had won they likely would have done away with slavery anyway because their independence hinged on Britain and the British were very anti slavery. We probably wouldn't have troonism today.

idk the South implemented sharecropping pretty seamlessly. Just transitioned the slaves from chattel slavery to wage-slavery.

Personally I have questions as to how the CSA could ever have pulled off a win. The resistance they put up to the Union was already pretty impressive performance for the side that had 1/4 of the population of the North and none of its manufacturing capability. The odds were definitively stacked against them.

America would've been dead in the water so that's good. Because trust me, the missed opportunities you had over making past poor choices would look much better in comparison to what we have now.

people never seem to understand history, do they?
first, like someone said earlier, the us would be split into two, not one whole confederate america. they wanted secession because they were worried they couldnt keep slaves in a rapidly industrializing world and the abolitionists were getting more support over the years. second, had they won, they'd still have to drop slavery anyway after some time because of said industrialization because it was still faster and cheaper than any slave based workforce and it would bite them in the ass if they didnt unless they really wanted to stay poor and never modernize as they had a very agriculturally based economy. you still end up with the post slavery issues that entailed following the civil war anyway if this happens, like the whole treating black people horribly thing which would ultimately cool down over many decades but it just takes much longer than in our timeline

I would be able to buy an octoroon gf
In other words having a venti doordashed to you would take on a whole new meaning

The only ways the south could have achieved anything resembling a win would be to either a) convince a major foreign power like britain or france to intervene on their side, which they did in fact attempt to do and the british sent a military envoy to observe how things were going to determine whether or not to do so. Obviously they decided against it for a multitude of reasons, or b) do what the north vietnam did and make it less about achieving an actual military victory over the US and more about inflicting as many casualties as possible to turn public opinion against the war and get the american public to put pressure on the government to make peace

That said, to add a little amusement to the topic at hand:
Its actually pretty good for a parody, though it does go into some weird directions at times

The union would seem weak in the eyes of European Powers and would have brought back colinization, Mexico would be oart of the Hasbirgian dynasty, the space race would probably be delayed by a couple decades.

Very early on. Literally pursuing at the Battle of Bull Run and seizing D.C. before the Army of the Potomac was established and entrenched.

McClellan really is underrated and unfairly maligned IMO. His job was to defend D.C. from invasion, which his army did. Those who say he should have been more aggressive because he had superior numbers do not understand that those numbers don't mean much if hit by an artillery ambush or if Lee managed to slip around and attack D.C. directly. Then you'd have Lincoln, who was known for micromanaging the army, scream to pull the entire army back to defend him and potentially rout his own army. After all, during the first two years of the war, the Confederates were winning, so a more offensive Eastern army would have taken more casualties much faster than if they defended and wait while the Western army made progress. This is the difference between foresight and hindsight.

South win would mean a fractured USA. Though the question if it would have lasted or they would have reunited eventually. A fractured USA would have changed the world wars massively, and heavily decrease the USA's overall empire power
The South was only a fraction of the US's economy until the past few decades. Something like 80-90% of the US Navy before the 20th century were sailors from New England. All the classic US empire building would still happen since it was all Northern investors funding it.

And the two were mutually contradictory, since being nothing but a guerilla army smashing up your own country doesn't make other countries want to recognize you as independent. Not in the 19th century at least, since that's not how actual independent countries acted. That was just how retarded Irishmen and Polacks acted.
