If the 22nd Amendment were to be repealed, could Obama win a 3rd term? - Obviously hypothetical

Again it depends exactly on the wording, so I'll try my hand at the proposal's language. You should also remember that the 22nd amendment was clearly written so that it wouldn't be possible for Harry Truman to be elected a 2nd time even though he had to essentially filled in FDR's 4th term.

"Upon the ratification of this amendment, the previous amendment restricting the amount of times any person shall be elected to the office of the President shall no longer apply not withstanding any former or the current President."

So that wording should block GWB, Clinton, and Obama from running for a 3rd term (note that wouldn't apply if they ran as vice-President and suddenly succeeded to the office of President because of impeachment, resignation, incapacity, or death) since they exceeded the restriction already but allow Carter and Trump to be elected again since they didn't exceed the limit. Put simply, it wouldn't be that difficult, and it isn't necessarily hard for them to mention specific people to an extent. Southern confederates were if I'm not mistaken, effectively banned for running for office after the 14th Amendment if I'm not mistaken.

I don't think so. Even if he were eligible to run again, there are few things that are more 'ex' than an ex-President in most people's minds.
