So like the doctor would never diagnose the main character as "you talk like a fag and your shit's all retarded." That's really problematic and ableist.

I'm thinking in a clownworld idiocracy dystopia, the main character can't even leave the hospital without escaping because the staff is so eager to read him an infinite list of munchie diagnoses and get him signed up for government benefits.

If I like your idea you get a writing credit on this thing.

Sorry I'm losing interest already. Unless escaping is trivial and won't be relentlessly pursued, it's a terrible idea. A video game on the other hand where escaping requires some puzzle-work to do (possibly tutorial-related) and most problems can be solved by mashing the attack button, it makes more sense.

Okay you're hired. Welcome aboard.

But yeah I was just pitching one scene. Here's another. Instead of President Mountain Dew Camacho acting like a pro wrestler all the time, the leader of the "free world" is just a genderblob with bisexual color-dyed hair and every speech is just they/them crying and whining and coping, but then the crowd always goes wild calling them stunning and brave and then they all march off really inspired like it was an amazing speech.
 
The reason nothing is growing is because all the farmers are using Soylent instead of water. When the main character suggests they switch to using water again, everyone yells at him about climate change and how evil he is for wanting to kill the environment, despite the cities being covered with old Marvel and Star Wars merchandise. The main character is then subjected to a Monday Night Cancellation, which is where the MC is chained in the middle of an arena and a broadcast of all of his old tweets are played on a big screen above him to a live crowd.
 
Remember though that the idea with idiocracy is that it's a result of the stupidest in society reproducing like rabbits, and the intelligent not having kids, therefore making society progressively stupider.

The commentary just happens to be based on the idea it's white trash reproducing, when a realistic movie based upon modern day would be way blacker and fatter, and would have them call each other racist during disagreements (black people don't care about ableism)

Actually thinking about it now, it seems like pretty much the only reason Idiocracy was acceptable was because it almost exclusively featured white people (and not even fat white people with southern accents). Wasn't the only black person in the movie President Camacho? Very interesting.

No, the other person who's frozen with Luke Wilson was a black woman. They marry at the end of the movie, creating the smartest children in the world. The races of the characters are completely irrelevant to the message: the combination of technology and lack of education will allow Americans to become completely docile and unable to function. Unless you want to go for some pol argument about the browning of America, it is great as is.
