Let's get one thing straight right now: if I had to choose between living next to tattoo-faced cartel boys or a red-hatted, gun-humping MAGA "patriot" who still thinks Trump is the second coming of Christ, I'd be picking out a bottle of Patrón and practicing my Español, because at least MS-13 doesn't pretend to be the moral backbone of America while committing mass genocide against everyone who isn't white.
Oh no, boo boo. Don't clutch your pearls. I said what I said.
I'm not afraid of the so-called "violent gangs" Faux News won't shut up about, because I know real violence wears a polo shirt tucked into khakis and calls itself a "concerned parent" at a school board meeting. Real terror? That's Bob from down the street flying a "Let's Go Brandon" flag while his wife hides the bruises and his teenage son mainlines Andrew Tate videos like gospel.
You want to talk danger? One group traffics in crime, yes — but the other? The other traffics in ignorance, bigotry, and the weaponization of the Executive Branch. MAGA isn't just a movement. It's a virus. A rot. A red-hatted parade of people who'd sooner burn books than read one, and who think empathy is weakness and "freedom" means no one can tell them not to be a jackass in public.
The gangs? They're not knocking on my door trying to criminalize abortion, erase queer people, or scream about "groomers" while secretly Googling teen TikTok dancers at 2am. MAGA folk are the ones passing laws to control uteruses they've never been invited near. They're the ones terrified of drag queens but not literal Nazis. They're the ones who treat human rights like an all-you-can-eat buffet: pick what you like, toss the rest to the dogs.
At least with gangs, there's honesty. Brutal, yes, but honest. They're not cloaked in the hypocrisy of "Christian values" while storming the Capitol in a cosplay coup. MS-13 isn't showing up to Pride parades with assault rifles and Jesus memes. Tren de Aragua doesn't have Tucker Carlson on speed dial.
And statistically, Latinx American migrants are less dangerous than your average white male.
So yeah, Karen, maybe before you accuse me of "hating America," ask yourself which America you're defending: the one that stands for liberty and justice — or the one that thinks freedom means waving a Confederate flag while demanding your barista say "Merry Christmas."
I'll take the devils I know over the devils in red hats who smile to your face and vote to strip your rights behind your back. The MAGA cult has made it clear they don't respect the Constitution, Civil Rights or the rule of law. If their beliefs lie in direct opposition to everything America stands for, why not trade them for impoverished immigrants who just want to achieve the American Dream?
We already know many of them didn't have a criminal record. Hell, some of them weren't even supposed to be deported, like Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was illegally kidnapped and sent to CECOT to be brutally tortured for the crime of being brown. Who knows if any of them were actually criminals. But even if they were, they can be rehabilitated. Nazis can't, our grandparents already proved that during WWII.
I will gladly take men and women who spend months making one of the most arduous journeys on Earth for a shot at freedom over actual Nazis. Even if (and that's a huge if) some of them are drug dealers, that's still an improvement.
Miss me with the fake patriotism. Miss me with the bootstrap bootlicking. Miss me with the "I'm not racist but…" dinner table rants.
Give me the cartel. Give me the chaos. Give me great food and cheap weed. At least they don't lie about what they are and they're not actively trying to send me to a concentration camp.
But mark my words, when we win, and WE WILL WIN, we're sending all the MAGA morons that voted for Trump to rot in Bukele's CECOT in exchange for the real Americans.
We can end the homelessness crisis too, we'll just house everyone in the empty homes left behind by the fascists. If you support Mango Mussolini, you might want to start packing.
