Yeah, I mean, if I was the good doctor and I knew that our topic of mirth and derision had a history of harassing people over perceived slights and that the sources in question had, oh, I don't know, jobs and reputations to uphold, I would be chomping at the bit to quote them as well.

That is one advantage Sweetpea has! We've discovered it, one thing he has up on us: he doesn't have a rep to uphold or indeed, any positive rep at all, so he can do or say basically whatever he wants and suffer no real consequences beyond the immediate.

The only two ways I see that Sweet's life could be worse would be if he was in prison, or homeless. The county he has warrants in doesn't seem to be interested in enforcing them, so he's probably gonna live in the same house until Mama Sweet dies. I doubt he'll be homeless, as Mama Sweet has almost certainly made arrangements to care for Jon after she's gone. Her will probably calls for the house to be sold and the money used to put Jon in a small apartment. I imagine one of his brothers is named as executor, to ensure her wishes are followed, also to ensure Jon doesn't squander any money from the sale of the house or a life insurance policy on a doomed lawsuit against ASU.

I've pointed it out several times before, but Sweet seems willfully ignorant of one of the biggest aspects of Christianity: forgiveness. I remember that one verse about forgiveness being brought up over on dA by Troy, and Sweet just went on to try and justify vendetta, and then pretty soon forgot about that conversation as his grudges continue unabated.
Wasn't there a passage in the Bible where Jesus talks about how no man shall deny another his perks at ASU? Something about if they should, they shall be viewed as fartknockers deserving of decapitation in the eyes of the Lord.

The liberals must've edited it out.

The idea of Sweets reading the bible or paying attention in church is laughable. He's less of a devout god fearing person than quite a few liberals.

I doubt Sweet has the power to get anyone fired or humiliated though. Still, if I were in Dr. M's shoes, I also probably wouldn't reveal sources to someone who's known to harass and stalk use journalism skills on people.

He has tried to get people fired in the past by contacting their employers. Result: spectacular failure. Same result he's achieved with everything in his life.

My favorite part about this is at no point has he figured out that no one will ever listen to his insane gibbering letters and do what he wants. He has sent them for 20 years and the closest thing he got to a reaction was a visit by the boys in blue to get him to stop being a crazy asshole. No one has ever gotten fired, and no one ever will.

I'm extremely curious just how those exchanges went.
Probably called the person Jon was crying about into the manager's office, asked who the fuck this person was, heard the explanation that he is a deranged stalker, laughed, and ran the letter through the shredder and let the subject of Sweet's harassment campaign get back to work.

There were no "exchanges." No one replies to Sweet, except his former tard wrangler at The Herald, who threatened to call the police if Sweet ever contacted him again. The only other responses he's generated have been visits by the police and, possibly, federal agents after he scared one of his female victims to the point that she called the FBI.

I believe the good @Dr. Merkwurdichliebe has actually heard from some of the victims of Sweet's campaign of harassment. I forget what was said though. Perhaps he could refresh our memories.

From as long ago as 2004, his epistles to his victims and their co-workers and their bosses read exactly like the screeds he posts today. Yes, he raves about killing them and putting their heads on pikes. He rants about lawsuits. He carries on and on and on about a skit that "doesn't exist." He is going to destroy his victims. He is going to destroy The Herald. He is going to destroy Arkansas State University. All of these things are going to happen "soon," which apparently means more than 11 -- soon to be 12 -- years in the future.

Looking at the forward lists on some of his emails, you can see that Sweet's lunatic manifestos have been shared with his victims' friends and colleagues from coast to coast, so that they, too, can enjoy the lulz generated by the Giant Brain of Blytheville. The forwarded emails are usually passed along with simple messages from the sender. "What a tool!" is one of my favorites.

Sweet's maledictions overflow with grammatical errors, punctuation blunders and misspellings. They are clearly the work of some backwoods hick who is trying as hard as he can to come across as an intimidating intellectual but who is obviously crazy and stupid.

Psycho that he is, Sweet tells his victims that, once they all confess to having conspired against him, he can return to ASU and resume his job as a columnist at The Herald. He did not and does not understand at all that he was not expelled from the university and banned from the campus for plagiarism. He seems to think that, once the plagiarism charges are proved false, the stalking, harassing, and terroristic threatening will all be forgiven, and the fact that he is mentally ill will be swept under a very, very large carpet.

What a tool!

I think we've seen that email before -- Sweet posted it on that 90s-esque site he runs, and among other things, it said Sweet was a persona non grata at ASU.

Would it be possible to copy and paste a sample of Sweet's threats here (only text he wrote, and with names and other personal info of victims redacted, of course)?

Yes, Mark Berky's message to Sweet (search for Berky right here) closed as follows:

"Do not contact me again. Ever.

Allow me to repeat myself, just to make sure you understand me -- DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN.

Get over your obsession to come back to ASU. You can't come back. As you say, the past is past and you should put that grudge behind you.

...If need be, I will send a copy
[of this e-mail] to the Jonesboro Police Department, the Arkansas State Police, and the the Missouri State Police."

Have a good life, don't cross over into mine ever again.

Sweet claims that he has already identified one of my sources based on what I've posted here.

I suspect that he keeps all of his criminal threats well-organized in folders on his computer -- something the police will find helpful one of these days -- and will be able to identify the recipient and ramp up his harassment. I really don't want these people to be subjected to Sweet's creepy attention because of something I posted here.

There is one funny point that I haven't mentioned.

At the bottom of all the letters Sweet sends to his victims, in which he threatens to kill and decapitate them, there is an ad for Smoking Cats Productions, urging the soon-to-be-headless recipients to visit his website and buy his shitty comics and illiterate books. Who does something like that?

I will check around and see if anyone will give me the OK to post verbatim quotes from Sweet's criminal emails.

Sounds like Chris' threatening and harassing letters that end with 'stay safe and have a good day!'
