Sweet mentions the laptop is a "$300 paperweight". I wonder if he bought a Chromebook. Still, a $300 computer isn't going to be very sturdy, no matter what OS is used on it.

But no computer, no matter how well designed, can withstand being tossed about or pulled to the floor by tripping over the cord.

Funny thing, though, newer Apple laptops can't be pulled to the floor by tripping over the cord because the connector is magnetically coupled so it just comes out if you do.

Sweet's ideas are especially moronic in light of the fact that computers get faster and more powerful with every generation. It's like if cars now went 200 mph and Sweet was driving a 20 mph jalopy belching smoke on a highway yelling at everyone passing him.

Thing is, there are stripped down versions of Linux that he could install on his dinosaur, that are actively supported and would work with his old files. He would also be able to access the internet with it. Of course, for someone as allergic to learning as Sweet is, this is a pipe dream. Or he could just get the new laptop fixed. Oh wait, that takes money, of which he has none.

If that old windows box is overheating its because its full of dust and needs to be cleaned out. I'd imagine it's ten times worse than his room

Speaking of fungus, I think it was in the belchblog archive on the site Sweet runs, but Sweet may have alluded to mushrooms in the basement of the Sweet house. I don't know whether or not this is the case, but it's likely.
Oh my god. He could fucking farm mushrooms in his basement. That strikes me as hilarious for some terrible reason.

Wait, if the laptop's broken, and the Win98 box can't use the internet anymore, how is Sweet posting? That ancient cell phone can't be doing it. I guess he got the laptop fixed. Or his mom did.

I don't know why I do this, but I'm flipping through the recently-uploaded issues of The Belch Dimension. They are irredeemably awful. Most of the plots, supporting characters or flavour elements seem to have been stolen wholesale from Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Taz-Mania, and other cartoons I've half-forgotten from the 90s.

Then there's the deeply unlikeable "hero", Jonichu, who even the other characters point out is heartless and racist. Jonichu is a superpowered teenager with bullet-proof skin, who's happy to use his super strength to beat down a non-superpowered kid who it's clearly established is incapable of even hurting him. That's not what heroes do.

What really stands out to me, though, is how much Sweet includes his disgusting fetishes and proclivities in the comic. For instance, here's some vore:

Then, there's a truly amazing panel where Jonichu sharts himself. "Sweet is worse than Chris" gets brought up a lot, but it really is true. At least Chris's comic self-insert is thin and doesn't suffer from :briefs:. Even in a world he entirely controls, Sweet Bro still has his Mary Sue noisily soil himself and carry on like nothing happened:

It doesn't really bear thinking about how closely reality resembles Sweet's artwork :cryblood:

eww could you imagine him terrorizing the public libaries to post?

I wonder if he bought a Chromebook.

I think sweet would be too dumb to work a chromebook.

I think the reason why Sweet was so proud of that "back door" was that no one told him he could transfer files via email, but he still managed to figure it out on his own, when he normally has certain competence issues with technology.

But then Microsoft ceased to "honor" fossil operating systems and browsers, and the "back door" was closed. It was time for Sweet to try and get back into that state-of-the-art computer lab in a university of Arkansas and use those coveted CD burners. But nooo, the progressives roadblocked him. So it's back to square one for Sweet: waiting for a "geek from tech support," or trying a DIY job (which is a stereotypical thing Southerners do). All to transfer over Belch Dimension for some reason.

Like I said earlier, if Sweet has issues with technology, then why didn't he just make Belch Dimension all traditional? Why does he even bother with computers to make it?

[Belch Dimension]
So Sweet's self-insert is a bullet-proof super "hero." Does he have any weaknesses at all?

Also what do you mean by "flavour elements?" And just how much do the plots and characters resemble those of half-past-90s cartoons?

It doesn't really bear thinking about how closely reality resembles Sweet's artwork
So does Sweet have certain bowel issues like ADF and CWC?

I wonder if that 98 box even has internet capability. I seem to recall configuring Windows 9x to go on a LAN being a little tricky to do as Windows assumed, by default, that you were on a dialup connection. Sweet seems to have trouble even figuring out how his obamacable works, so I doubt he can do much other than look up scat porn.

Don't some ISPs still offer dialup? In a small rural area like Sweetums apparently lives in, that might be the only option available to him.

Yes they do, or maybe did - Problem is age has not been nice to dialup, so there have been government incentives for services like ADSL to be placed in those areas.

If the Sweets have any kind of high-speed service to their house, that box will need an ethernet adapter - and computers were only just showing up with those in the mid 90s.

I think I'm getting confused here. So there are 2 computers at the Sweet house. One of which is a newer laptop, and the older is the "still serviceable" Windows 98 computer. Which one(s) does Sweet use to access the internet, and which one(s) does he have to wait to use, thus putting his "life on hold?"

I heard that the older one is 15 years old, which means it would've been set up in the Sweet house around 2000, a few years after Sweet was kicked out of college.

The dinosaur since Sweets somehow through sheer retardation busted the recharge port on his machine. I don't even know how you can get that rough on a laptop since they tend to be pretty tough little things.
